Random Fail: First World Problems

The fail is that he wasn't smart enough to sequester himself away from you and your sickness.

We actually spent most nights in different beds ( I typically book 2 queen beds so we can spread out anyway) . I'm the person who someone looks at me wrong and I get sick and after a ton of tests there's no medical reason why and when I do it's always horrible and lasts weeks or months.

He on the other hand had a slight cough for 7 days but think the airline ride home just sealed it. Between me coughing and several others in a small area..yeah.

The flight home was pure misery for me. I'm pretty sure I have an ear infection of some kind based on the excruciating pain both my ears were in on the descent. I'm pretty sure labor would have been easier pain wise and I don't say that lightly. My throat hurts like hell since Wed afternoon , fevers spiking 100 to 103 , earaches and pain and my body feels like I'm 70. I went through 2 bottles of NyQuil and half a box more of liquigels with no relief. Doctor appointment tomorrow and then dragging myself to work .

Some people can't afford to stay home. When I was working, my company didn't give me paid sick time and I lived paycheck to paycheck. Missing a day of work meant getting behind on bills. It seems so simple to stay home when you're sick when you're financially able to do so. A lot of people don't have that luxury.

yeah, that just means you're fucking everyone else when they catch your shit. if you can't afford to stay at home, your co-workers can't either. it's a shit choice, i know. what's worse is when you have no paid sick time, and you live in a right to work state and they will straight up fire your ass if you miss enough for them to notice.

Simple solution would be to wear those hospital face masks.. Yeah you are still sick and feel terrible but at least you don't get others sick

Wear a mask to protect against spreading airborne sickness, make an effort not to touch the same stuff as your coworkers. If you're not wearing a mask then you're an ass. >:O

I worked retail/ customer service 15 years before my current job and most can guess how many of those jobs had sick leave. Now that I work for a good company I've dragged my ass in on more occasions only to be sent home by my managers because they actually would rather be slightly understaffed than get everyone else sick or underperforming.

Back from Doctor confirmed bronchitis and possible strep. Also looks like I have asthma and undiagnosed allergies , so get to test for those in the new year. Of all the fucking things they never tested me for growing up sick was allergies because I never exhibited outside symptoms but apparently it can be a thing.

You can develop allergies later in life sometimes.

Yeah, I've become more and more allergic to cats over the years however, my childhood allergy to sulfa drugs has completely disappeared.

It seems that every semester when it comes time for my finals and waking up at an odd time to go to them, something happens with my alarm. Set it at 8:00 so I could get up and review a bit more before my 10:00 AM final. The radio station I typically have it set to this morning was just broadcasting silence, so I slept through the first alarm and woke up with the backup one (because I knew this would happen) at 8:30 that was just set to beeps (which I never use normally).

I moved from California, where I was allergic to nothing(Had dogs, cats, lizards, everything) to Washington and now I am ever stuffed up and hacking up phlegm, and I can't be around animals without my eyes starting to itch.
