But yea, I think it might have been a fixable problem if they had gotten her diagnosed earlier on. Or at manageable maybe. Something sped the process up and she got real bad real quick and I was the one here to handle it, I guess. They told me the doctor said had jaundice and I was pretty sure that's what it what. Her skin seemed yellow in spots, too.

My random fail for the past few days has been fighting a seriously nasty virus on my computer (rootkit/trojan that somehow managed to block virus removal programs from executing even in safe mode) when I should've just nuked it at the first sign of problems. A freshly formatted computer is just so goddamn nice after years of buildup.

Yeah I get that too on top of assumptions of diabetes , high cholesterol , high BP among the other lovely female issues. For the record I don't have any of it , never have , no fucking history all my tests come back normal save for vitamin deficiencies I know of and yet any doctor I see assumes everything is weight related including when I fucking slammed my knee into a concrete bench because I wasn't watching where I was going.

Sleep apnea if one does have it can be serious but it's not an automatic just because you're overweight.

It's almost like they are following smart guidelines and you fit directly in the wheelhouse of the usual apnea sufferer. Like Astylla said, you will get asked about diabetes, high BP, cholesterol and generally every possible weight-related malady every single time you go to the doctor.

I'm under 230 now, down from 315. I'm finally escaping getting asked these things every time I go to the doctor as well.


My fail today is that I danced my ass off at a concert last night and my whole body is more sore than it is after 2 hour workout.

This. I'm a fat bastard, and I have no problem with docs asking questions. The only time there's a problem is when they start assuming the symptoms you complain about are purely because you're fat instead of looking for other causes. That's how my asthma went undiagnosed for nearly a decade as a child. "Kid's too fat and stupid to know the difference between being out of breath and being unable to breathe."
