The first round of hormone treatments from the fertility clinic has revealed my wife may not be ovulating, but not dispensing a mature egg. Good to know, it's a shame it took $400 to find that out. We aren't proceeding with anything this month because it wasn't an optimal situation. They're going to increase the strength of the medication and see if that does it for the next cycle.

Personally, I would have thought that they would have done these tests before sending us to a private fertility clinic to begin with, but at least we have some clues as to why nothing's happened over the last few years.

I didn't realize that was a side effect of that. She was on Chlomid while we were waiting to hear from the fertility clinic. Don't remember any out of the ordinary bursts of rage. Serephene was the name of the pill she was prescribed. My understanding is that they have a similar relationship to Advil and Ibuprofen. One's a brand name version or something.

The only side effects she seemed to have were some hot flashes and blushing of her cheeks.

Sorry to hear of the trouble, I have fertility issues and it's why we ultimately decided not to but for those like yourselves wanting to its very hard. From a female perspective I can attest the emotional side can be daunting. In some cases like myself it led to me feeling broken and depressed at times. It's a difficult journey for you both and I do wish you the best. Chlomid can be helpful but it can trigger things for sure.

A good thing to remember is that if you don't immediately (1-3 months) get pregnant (when trying) there might actually be a problem, male or female, and if you really want to ignore nature you should go to the doctor then and be insistent on getting looked at.

This doesn't hold true actually as many doctors depending on age bracket won't even allow referral to a specialist until between 6 months to a year of trying. This is often because the women aren't aware of their actual ovulation which is important obviously.

Knowing people personally as well as looking into options myself at one point it's not as easy as it sounds. Many insurance plans don't even cover a 1/4 of the cost not including in some cases the weekly injections needed to try and help ovulation if that is the issue at hand. We were looking at no less than 10-20k a TRY due to my particular issues. Like anything medically related it's not always so simple.

Show her pictures of vags and stomachs after births and scare her into adopting. Make sure to emphasize that your sperm is no joke and she's gonna have triplets and show her triplet-stomach after pictures because you don't recover from that without surgery.

Well my impression is that, just because a woman has the physical symptoms doesn't mean there is something ready to accept the "seed".
