Random Fail: First World Problems

So I bought a motorcycle on Feb 15th with my taxes. Pic for reference:

It was running a little rough after 2 weeks of riding so I decided to tune the carbs. I took the fuel tank off and set it sideways across the frame so I could leave the fuel line attached and still have access to the carburetors. I ran out of time while working on it so I left it sitting. Some time while I was gone, the stress from twisting the fuel line cracked it and caused fuel to leak all over the floor of my garage. Horrible fumes throughout the house and a gallon of fuel lost. I pushed the bike outside onto my driveway to clean up the fuel. It was raining and the tank cover was off, so I went to pick up the tank to set it on the work bench in my garage to keep it out of the rain............................I fucking DROPPED the tank and put one huge dent plus multiple small dings in it. It will cost me $1000 to get it fixed and repainted or $960 to buy a whole new tank already painted to match. Expensive butter fingers.....

Also why a lottery system? My school always did the whole 'first come first serve' or is that unfair to someone who waits until the last second?

It's not uncommon. My college had a lottery for students past sophomore year and they didn't give any kinda preference to people. One year I heard of a student from Tokyo not getting housing when a friend I knew who lived in state got a room.

At one of our local colleges the lottery system is in place because of the huge number of students that apply as soon as housing enrollment begins. Nobody is late filing their application because they know the enrollment period closes as soon as 130% of capacity is reached. Then the lottery is held to see who gets to pay ridiculous rent prices for houses/apartments off campus. It works well as far as I know.

Times must be different or maybe my school didn't have a lot of people wanting to live on campus.
Feels kinda weird though that they wouldn't even give some sort of priority to people who are out-of-state or from another country as opposed to in-state.

Isn't it bad enough they have to pay more?

Well, the people at the housing office said I would more than likely get to live on campus, but at this point I wouldn't get my first or second choice and would end up having to wait until after a week into next semester(so Fall 2013) to change rooms and be with people I know. I'm focused on living off campus now, and got offered a spot in a house potentially when my friend goes to live in Ireland next year, otherwise I'll find a random person to live off campus with(by interview of course).

That feeling when the current notch on your belt is too loose but the next one is too tight =(.

Losing weight faster than expected...dropped two pant sizes, pants are now falling off. Have to go shopping soon :/

Same problem.. even have a few pairs that fit fine when i put them on in the AM..but by the time i get home, NOPE.

All my old belts are also too small.. while my new belts are too big. I am in fat guy purgatory.

Better fix that problem quickly. A 16 year old kid in NYC got shot for that same issue.

Same, my old belt was way too big, bought a new belt where I was only at the second notch, now i'm at the second to last notch 3 weeks in. 8 more pounds and I'll actually weigh what my drivers license says. fuckyeah.jpg

So I'm getting ready to go on my trip, have a weekend in Dallas planned first. Car is packed, looking up route out of the hillbillies where I'm picking up my friend and my doctors office calls. They want me to get bloodwork done before my surgery, but my surgery is the day I get back from this trip. And they can't see me today, and don't want me to put off the surgery.

Well FML guys, you could have waited until not the day before the weekend to call me.

Hanging out last night at a friend's apt, there were probably like 10-12 people there. Other friend asks if he can bring over 2 of his friends, both not affiliated in greek life we say sure because we aren't stuck up about that. He shows up, blacked out. His other two friends(One who we know because he plays basketball with us) follow behind him, a guy(who really doesn't seem drunk) and a girl who was just as drunk as my friend, if not drunker. Now, I'm used to dealing with drunk people, it's expected because lets face it, it was a Thursday night and spring break starts today for a lot of people at SSU, but this girl was a fucking wreck. She knocked over my good friend's drink, so I gave him mine, and proceeded to look like she was going to vomit multiple times. Eventually, I think it became too much for her, and she goes into my friend's room(I know all the people here), locks the door and proceeds to vomit IN his closet. Not in the garbage can, or the floor. His fucking clothes which included 2 very nice ties, towels and sleeping bag as well as a bunch of other stuff. Completely ruined the night. I fucking hate people who can't handle their alcohol...

Cant believebyou didnt put them in their place. Maybe soflo has made me an asshole, but I dont deal with people like that. Push em in the bathroom with the toilet seat up and stfu.

How much did you get for it? I still have the copy that I bought in high school along with the player's guide. I've played through it every few years and always get a rush when getting Sword of Kings to drop lol.
