My graphics card died last night. Gonna borrow my buddy's old card until the RMA goes through and/or I can buy an upgraded version.

Meanwhile, people trying to get rid of their really old cards comin' out of the woodwork lol. It's not that I don't appreciate the offers, but... my integrated graphics are about par with the cards in question.

Went to subway this morning for breakfast. Somehow the bacon they had was practically frozen, even with it going through the toaster it made a third of my bacon, egg & cheese sandwich ice cold and unedible.

The key is to cook a bunch of bacon on Sunday and keep it in the fridge.
Makes my breakfast cooking time almost zero.

Pan -> Egg -> Flip -> Bacon in pan -> On bread.

Like 3 minutes.

So a customer came in today before we open for around the 4th time in about 2 weeks. She knows our hours and came by because it happened to be on her way and she knows the owner will just let people in anyways. See this is what happens when you are too nice

Have an abscessed tooth and no insurance, so went to the county to see if I qualify for assistance/reduced dental costs. I only work a little under 30 hours a week so take home roughly 1K a month. Found out today I make too much since they only look at the last 3 months. Working in a theatre, the release of Star Wars bumped up my hours and got holiday pay for Christmas and new years, skewing my average. Would have to wait another 2 1/2 months to apply again so those 2 paychecks fall out of the range they care about.

Would be 2 months, not two weeks. Last check of December and first check of January are what is throwing everything out of whack. Was the actual advice of the person who was processing the information, to wait for a slow time before doing it again.

Did they tell you the exact earnings cutoff for a 3 month period? You could do the math yourself to figure out exactly when you're good to apply again, instead of waiting longer than you have to.

So being the extremely coordinated fuck I am I managed to stab myself in the palm again. Same hand as last time which still hurts like 3 months later and the finger above where it happened has varying degrees of stiffness and pain depending largely on how much work I've done recently with that side of my hand (lots of lifting = bad) .

Doesn't hurt at all and no twinges moving the area and the finger connected but afraid it will end up like the last and close up fast but then cause problems down the line. Interesting thing though is if I pull the would open more I can see this mass of weird little whitish roundish things push out. No idea what they are but looks cool until the blood covers it up and I can't see it. Oddly it's swelled up a bunch... don't think I've had a stab or cut or abrasion etc do that before but for now full motion and strength

Not sure if win or fail. Decided to play some CS:GO last night after not having played the franchise for about 9 years. Last night was my third time playing matchmaking and was vote kicked for "hacking."

After finding out they thought I hacked I laughed very loudly into the mic and told them they all sucked and that I just started playing after 9 years.

I'll never understand why people even eat breakfast. The last thing I want to do when I wake up is eat food to make me feel bloated and lethargic all day. It's all a conspiracy by the breakfast cereal companies

I don't eat breakfast at all so I'm doing it quite right. Intermittent fasting ftw. Even eating a small cup of dry cereal makes me feel off the whole day. My energy is so much better when I forego this silly tradition called "breakfast" which has been ingrained (no pun intended) into us by society
