Self control after drinking? This will devolve into a poopdeck related discussion, im out!
I think the difference is that I tip, if I eat out, which I don't.
I can understand if someone doesn't tip a lot because they are poor, and don't think they should be ashamed for enjoying a night out.
Y'all could do a lot worse than being me, at least I'm pretty.
You pretty much quoted exactly what I do. $5-10 for myself, regardless of price of meal, but I somehow caught shit for it
Yea but I'm pretty and people like me
I also said I very rarely eat somewhere more than $50 for a meal. I've never been, nor do I have the desire or, honestly, the means to go to a place over $100 a meal. That's one of the few things Airenn got right in her slew of accusations, which is why it's about the only thing I didn't address.
If Gordon goddamn Ramsey decided for one day to work out of an Applebees and charged $100 for a steak, you would still tip them $20 (just for yourself, in this scenario)? It's still the same Applebees waiting staff, literally the exact same service, but it's now worth more because you paid more for the food? A certain level of service deserves a certain payment, which is only loosely correlated with the price of the food. Going to a steakhouse ordering a chicken sandwich requires just as much of a server's time as a filet mignon, but will probably cost you half the price. Do they only deserve half of the tip, because it cost you less? If I were go to a fancy $100-per-plate place, I expect some Alfred Pennyworth looking motherfucker to pull my chair out to seat me like a goddamn dainty-ass lady and have moist warm towels to wipe my hands off whenever I want; that's more service and worth more than $10. If it's just some 23 year old taking my order and bringing the food out to me and occasionally refilling glasses, fuck them, they get the same shit as anyone else who does that. And I won't feel bad about it either because paying them $10 is still more than minimum wage.
That is the core of my argument. I'm sorry if it didn't get brought out due to extrapolating a poorly worded opening.
The core of the argument is you are being a cheap bitch and openly admitted to it. 15-20% is considered customary for good to exceptional service. Your whole fucking Gordon Ramsey thing is fucking retarded. When you serve at a high end restaurant, more is expected from you at an Applebee's. You are expected to know what wine pairs with each item on the menu, every ingredient in every item, all possible allergens, and countless other things. Just admit you are a cheap bitch and you got caught in it instead of back peddling like a priest caught with a 7 year old boy
Now for random fail, been sick since Sunday night, slept all day and now it's almost 3 am and I can't sleep.
