Yeah she was a piece of work and I was a stupid white knight. To add insult to injury she was also a rebound relationship. Last time I saw her I was doing a pc repair in a woman's housing unit and she happened to be in jail and housed in that exact area. Had to write a memo to my captain explaining why it was best I didn't handle anything in that house till she was released.
Well shit I think you win the crazy ex game. Closest I can come to it is seeing my dad's ex running away on an episode of cops. Which was hilarious
I am just catching up on the tipping discussion but people who haven't worked in the restaurant business shouldn't make assumptions. Most restaurants (privately owned decent quality I don't know about chains) make the servers report their total amount of tips each night and they have to tip out the rest of the staff before leaving. That means that when you tip a percentage goes to the kitchen staff and the bartender and the bussers cleaning up all the tables etc. It isn't just about tipping your server.
Edit: My fail is replying before finishing catching up on the thread. This was mentioned several times.
Geez. You know cray cray.
Anyways my fail of the day is I keep trying to enter "100 North State St." into bing maps (and no the fail isn't that I'm not using google) and for some reason it keeps automatically changing it to "Hundertstraße, 39435 Egeln". So apparently it thinks I want to drive from California to Germany....
darn, and here i was hoping for more dick pics
Another fail for me. I went to the eye doctor for my yearly checkup. I have a condition called keratoconus a degenerative eye disorder where my corneas are essentially melting away slowly over time and will possibly result in a double corneal transplant in my future. There is a strong correlation between bad seasonal allergies, eye rubbing, and keratoconus. Good news from my doctor is that my eyes have progressed very little in the past year. However he prescribed me some allergy eye drops to help keep my eyes from getting too itchy and causing me to rub them.
I went to pick up the eye drops from the pharmacy yesterday, found out they weren't covered by insurance. They wanted almost $400 for a tiny little bottle of eye drops. I didn't pick them up but now the pharmacy keeps calling my cell phone to tell me my prescription is ready.
I will need to spend a bunch of time on the phone with the stupid insurance company to see if I can get the eye drops covered since the doctor said they were medically necessary for my medical condition.
Bonus plus side is that I don't need to buy new glasses this year so that saves me a little bit of money.
Man that's shit , I'm sorry. I hope you can get it covered because that sounds horrible.
I just got new glasses myself , as I need every year and my cataracts ( early stages) are getting worse. I'm fucking terrified but know it still could be 10-15 years before surgery is needed.
I wanted to get a second pair for work/computer use but it's another $125 due to my shit though employer paid vision. While my other glasses for 24/7 use, with transitions, polycarbonate lenses , anti glare/ anti scratch were only $25 thanks to my husbands coverage. Before discounts they were over $800
So in the last couple weeks about 5 people have come to my work asking if it's Comcast. Comcast has never been around here. I think there is a tiny Xfinity branch thing about 1.5 miles away but even that isn't the main office which used to be on the opposite side of town. Anyways lady today says this is the second address she's been directed to by Comcast. So seems people are getting so fed up they are hiding from their customers
Yeah it is shitty but it is overshadowed by the good news from my eye doctor. I was thinking about getting some special computer glasses since I don't need new glasses this year. My doctor said they would help reduce eye strain because they are slightly yellow to cut down on the blue light from screens.
My eyes were always perfect my whole life so this is a weird relatively new issue for me that developed in the last 2 years.
I've been wearing glasses about 27 years but I'm terrified of losing my sight. I know my doctor recommended at least once an hour or every 30 minutes to refocus on something far to help with strain.
Ugh just got a call about having my important procedure done , informed they don't do it at my local office now so have to go basically 45 minutes to 90 minutes out of our area. On top it might be APRIL OR MAY FUCK. So frustrating.
Thankfully cataract treatments are becoming so much more advanced that it practically solves your problem.
Yeah my dad had cataract surgery and it was fairly routine and easy. Totally fixed his eye sight and almost completely corrected his vision too. My problem is a bit more complicated and a lot less common.
No matter what though the possibility of losing your eyesight is very scary and it has been running through my mind a lot lately so I can definitely sympathize.
Talkin about cheapskates: a customer won 2 mil on a lotto where i work, and he didnt offer up a tip to the person who sold him the ticket.
For whatever reason I keep biting my lower lip while eating. Bit it so hard during lunch I started bleeding like a stuck pig.
Also, so much for my great work from home job. Will most likely go work a factory line type job for $4/hr less to avoid the ridiculousness that is my job.
Sucks about the job, if you don't mind me asking what's so bad about it ? Factory line work isn't like it used to be depending on the product and companies. I loved my manufacturing job in Washington state, great benefits, hours decent , overtime and bonus potential. Only downside was the constant drama , basically everyone knows each other small town so who's fucking who is well known.
I've had the bite issue myself and once you do it it seems easier to keep doing which is annoying as fuck. My advice is to try and eat smaller and slower bites until it heals.
