Unrealistic expectations. Constant change with no notice while expecting us to figure it out on the fly. Too many tech issues to get into. Poor leadership that ignores real issues and will only ride the company's dick. I won't bother with specifics but the main thing that really pissed me off about it was I interviewed for a "sales" job and was told through training it was sales, but this job is truly customer service and I do not do customer service. Plus, the amount of batshit crazy people I talk to on a daily basis is enough for me to jump of my balcony.
I've put out somewhere in the ballpark of ten applications in the last few days and I received an offer for the manufacturing job immediately. It's basically slight quality check and packing. I spent most of my 20s doing shipping & receiving with light assembly and what not. At the time I thought I was working a meaningless job and felt disappointed in myself. Now I see how great of a job it was and I should've finished school while there. Hindsight.
A friend and I were talking last weekend about the current job thing and jobs in general. He works for Gamestop currently while finishing his degree and worked previously for Comcast as Tech Support I. At Comcast he had similar experiences like I've been having at my gig and I think he said it best with, "People that work these types of jobs and ignore the blatant problems and what not are more than likely lying to themselves and will always rep for the company because they do not want to feel the time they have put in has been for nothing or they do not and will not have a better option." I think there is a lot of truth to that.
Funny side note. He said while at Comcast he found out they will route billing calls to all departments after being on hold for a certain amount of time.
