No. The Report function is actually somewhat rarely used, even more rarely abused, given the sheer volume of posts we have per day. When it is abused, it's almost always a mod making fun of another mod.

The majority of reported posts are people spamming to 10.

The only thing I ever use it for is spammers. Chances are, the mods probably already know about the spam by the time I've even reported, since the shit is usually gone pretty quickly.

Need to buy a (cheap, used) car that will get me from point A to point B reliably with few hiccups and doesn't smell weird, but have never purchased a car before and buying from random strangers online is pretty stressful, even though it's likely to be the best deal for me when I'm just looking for something - likely a Honda or Toyota because those are the ones people recommend as easy to fix and run forever - at or under 3k.

The fail? I have no idea what I'm doing, have never owned a car before and have only gotten my driver's license last month (I'm 30).

I waited way too long to do these things because I had serious driving anxiety my whole life. I still do, but I'm trying to get over it and join the rest of society in being a semi-functional adult. Now because I have very little on-road experience and have to do all these things (researching and buying a car, getting used to driving, learning to fix it when it breaks) more or less at once, I'm stressing out about it. It sucks that this thing a lot of people enjoy or see as freeing cripples me with anxiety, unfortunately I know the only thing that's going to help me get over it is driving enough to get used to it.

I figured while I was at it I'd ask here if anyone in Vegas area is trying to offload a car that meets the criteria . It's a long shot, but rather buy from BG than craigslist

There are not enough posts reported for a monthly polling period. It would be the one guy that month who reported two posts from the same argument he wanted the mods to win for him. He also probably would have been infracted for it. Bottom post on the first page of the mod forum is from January 1st. There have been 32 reported posts since then (not counting the merged Drill Weave ones) and three of them were probably by Viv (and he got infracted.)

Not much help but if you've made it to 30 without needing one why do you need one now? 32 and bike for life!

Biking is nice until you need to do full on grocery shopping for yourself. Not everyone can be like Cream Soda who can buy a Costco sized package of top ramen, and 3 other bags of stuff and get it all home. Plus being in las vegas, if it's more than a few miles commute for work, i would hate to do that ride in the middle of summer.

Haha I'd do that except no good place to lock up nearby and as Cream soda can tell you people steal bikes all the time. And Warehouse often differs a bit from Online (namely no real perishables online). Plus I buy too much squishy stuff which doesn't transport well on bike unless you got some nice baskets or something...hmm I should look into that. But Costco delivers for a reasonable price!!! So does Safeway but they have a bike rack and it's a nice walk.

Really though it was more of a what changed? Like is it a new need for it, public trans situation changed, don't want to keep bumming rides, got tired of the inconvenience or just a well everyone else does it it's the "adult" thing to do... Might really need it or it might just be nice now and then but end up costing more than the workarounds.
