Random Fail: First World Problems

Stuff has been brutal this year. Melena rarely gets sick with more than a day but this year it took him out of work for about 4 days and me for an entire week. My coworker got full blown bronchitis and got better and just got it again. Shit sucks.

Yeah bronchitis has been a big deal around here this year too. I really hope it's not that, but the shit seems to be leaving my system. I'm in the drippy nose phase of it which is generally always toward the end. I'm interning and while I'm sure my cooperating teacher could easily pick up and teach for me for a day and let me stay home and rejuvenate, I don't really know that resting any more than I have been would really have made it leave my system any faster. I began to treat it with drugs aggressively from the moment I knew it was coming.

I had Bronchitis earlier in the year but I caught it on a plane so that's a special case. I got sick again this month but went to the doctor and got rid of it fast. The power of meds!

Seriously though. Don't wait and let it turn into an infection.

Customer on schedule for Friday calls in yesterday saying they want it today. Then calls again at around 3pm to say they want it in the morning. Calls in at around 830 this morning asking why we aren't there already. Mind you we didn't discuss when in the morning and we are currently having flash flooding

If it's viral like most colds/bronchitis, there isn't really anything that they can do. I was sick for about two and a half weeks (unusual for me), and eventually went in just to make sure everything was okay. Got the advice I assumed I would, which was to rest, drink fluids, and treat symptoms with OTC meds.

I can go to urgent care but I'm trying to hold off. I figure they won't do much more than I'm already doing for myself, and I'd rather sit around comfortably at home than suffer in some shitty stuffy waiting room. The VA has walk-in hours on Saturdays so if I'm not better by then I'll go first thing in the morning.

So work provided me with a humorous fail today. Someone calls work trying to find out when we open. They say ok tell us they plan on coming right after noon. Instead they send someone right now... and the guy doesn't speak/understand English. It seems they've coached him on a couple of things to say to let us know he is here for service but can't really communicate that we aren't open yet. Seriously people this is murica you want services speak murican!

My doctor gives the intradermal flu shot now instead of IM. Shits a joke it's like they just blow on your arm and you're done don't even feel it lol.
