Maybe they both had strokes in exactly the right spot of their brains and now will be irascible for the rest of their lives.

He didn't answer the part about if he left anything else for the server.![]()
But, hey, as a server: In that instance, I'd write them off as old shits and move about my day. Fuck people like that. I would bring them things at a much slower pace, with a smile knowing they'll be dead soon.
btw, if you're looking to actually make your parents even possibly think about not being shitty people tell them two things: You're disappointed in them and have lost respect for them. Shit's usually way more impactful than "Hey this isn't ok."
Well you guys the Lollapalooza lineup is definitely not worth the money for out of towners so now I will just go to Governor's Ball. Wow even when something is "a fail" its not bad. I am so glad I'm not the rest of you guys who are like oh no something bad happened and then nothing good happens
like 70% of my body is covered in hives, and I dont know if its a delayed reaction from my infected tooth that was removed Monday, or the gas they used to put me out, or the prescription advils they gave me, or anything else.
Must be aids
Welp, might be time to lay low at work.
Went to the director, he was furious. He's gone to HR about it. Just gone to see HR and they explained where the directive came from. Now there's a back and forth between HR, CFO, Owner and Ops Director on what needs to happen.
I'm just like to HR 'I have days off I need to use before they expire. Maybe I should take them off whilst this whole thing gets sorted out?' and they're like 'That might not be a bad idea...I'm going to speak to some people, I'll get back to you'
So, after my roommate had her car broken into because she left her purse in there, the other roommate's car has now been broken into because a leftover wallet/purse. There wasn't much in that wallet/purse, luckily. But now we're dealing with a string of thefts and people who obviously haven't figured out that leaving anything in the car is going to get a window smashed.
The outside camera did start recording after he approached the car. 5'5-6'0 and hooded. Thin/Fit build, I'd say. Working on footage and calling cops/insurance now, I think.
That really sucks.
I slept like shit last night because this morning at 4:30 AM was the time, after four years of hanging on the wall, that a framed picture decided to come crashing down to the floor, scaring the absolute shit out of me. I'm reasonably certain that my birds flying around in there and landing on it must have made it less stable, but man if that didn't scare the hell out of me.
My dad actually has a different train of thought on car break-ins. He runs a garage so has plenty of cars and also has some flashy personal cars himself. He always leaves all his cars open (EDIT: Unlocked I mean) so that in the event of theft, there's no damage to the lock or windows. Obviously he doesn't leave belongings in the car though.
I could see that backfiring by people just vandalizing shit if there's nothing to steal but he says it's yet to happen. He actually had someone try steal stuff from his cars only a few weeks ago, nothing went missing and no damage.
Honestly, yours sucks worse. That night-terror-paralyzation crap is terrible. (I'm assuming that's what happened briefly. Haven't been woken up to loud, shattering noises ever.)
Edit: @Jem The girls were discussing leaving the locks open and just nothing in the car. Dude on the video was looking for items. Smashed > grab > ran. He's not interested in further damage, just anything that looks like $$$. (Again assuming.)
My first thought was "WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT!" I was too disoriented to recognize proximity so at first I thought it might have been the bird cage that fell (it's in the living room), but I flipped on my lamp and saw that one of my pictures was not up where it should have been and realized what the fuck. I kept the light on for about an hour because I was so startled but after I calmed down I slept fine.
I don't fucking understand how people can think in this day and age leaving ANYTHING in plain sight let alone obvious valuables is a good idea.
On that note my local news email is reminding residents " it's unwise and illegal to leave running vehicles unattended after two vehicle thefts occurred on Monday morning."
No fucking shit..I can't fucking even.
I wish I knew where you live. We are not very far from various affluent neighborhoods, median housing price range being about 650k - 1.5mil depending on the town, and even there you wouldn't leave anything in plain site unless you were in a gated community, and even then I wouldn't chance it.
I bet he needed a new bulb and then saw the CD and was like "I've been meaning to listen to this album!"
EDIT: I've left my windows all the way down over night on the street in from of my apartment in the Bronx and nothing was touched. Had an iPod Touch, decent pair of sunglasses, and probably various other things in there. Of course, it could also just be luck.
Potential customer insisting they know more about driving our trucks and their maneuverability than we do and assures us we can easily take it down a long windy single lane road with low hanging trees and wires because small moving trucks can. Yeah sorry when it's your vehicle you can risk it
This is funny because on the flip side two of my uncles, and my cousin are extremely experienced heavy equipment and large truck operators that spend a lot of time driving them down extremely long windy dirt roads with lots of trees and they will often tell companies this. I have seen a couple of times where a large truck was trying to make it up our driveway and it couldn't so my cousin took over and drove the truck up and back down the driveway for them.
My coworker just said that we (the US) needs to shut down it's borders to all people with visas (work, education, w/e) until the US can come up with a way to be completely secure. He has some delusion that the kind of shit that happened in Brussels couldn't happen here if the borders were all closed.
fucking LOL
