Yo your parents are assholes dude.
Yo your parents are assholes dude.
In Chillicothe, Ohio tonight. Town smells like shit. More than normal. Turns out there's a broken sewage line that is still apparently gushing out onto the street behind the hotel. I hate Ohio.
I would have thought we lived in a decent neighborhood, but obv. not. I'm actually worried about my stuff. Everything I own is in this small room for now. :/ Just gonna keep my blinds and everything shut when I'm not home.
As far as they go, I think I overheard them say there was nothing in THIS wallet cause she left her actual one at the bar. These girls are borderline retarded. They have 0 common sense. I am posting it in the fail, but really I don't pity them the second time. Hell, not even the first time. Who the fuck leaves an entire purse and shit in their car anymore? It's FIVE STEPS into the house. Then again these are the people who drop the coffee cups right outside and leave it and the mess it makes out there. Also, the pee is still in that dog crate. Fuck, I started ranting.
Oh yeah one of our drivers is certainly a little over cautious but we got drivers that know what they are doing. Most the time it's customers telling us how it's ok cause small moving trucks have gotten thru and say it's not that bad and then we check googlr maps and we see things like large limbs/wires about 12 feet off the ground or hairpin turns. And well our trucks are ~15 ft tall and another couple feet when operating and 30-40 ft long.
Here's another fail work comp randomly restarted on me and since it's slow as fuck probably be 15 min or so after logging in before it really functions without insane lag
Major fail:
My memory is just the worst. It's extremely terrible. About 4 years ago I was in a car accident and received a check for the damages (1k). I thought I deposited the check and must have forgotten about it (never got the car fixed as it was just a bumper dent). About a month ago I got a letter from Progressive saying I needed to notarize it to resend the check otherwise they are no longer responsible since it's been so long since I got the check. Now I can't find that letter....They had sent the letter to my in-laws and I DO remember putting it someplace "safe" and even telling my hubby, but now neither of us can remember where that safe place was.
Blah!
And before anyone asks how I can forget about 1k: idk. This was when I had my first newborn and I was exhausted as shit. I hadn't quite gotten the handle on things with having a kid and trying to do normal adult responsibilities at the same time.
School requires for us to use scantrons on exams for 50% of our tests. My printer wouldn't scan them even though it was supposed to, so I used a coworker's of mine which "worked". I noticed after that the answers are all off, so now I am stuck on vacation doing data entry on all these tests.
When I was a kid I pictured an enormous computer from a terrible 70s Sci-fi movie, 10ft tall and 10 ft wide, with a single feeder slot like a vending machine that would grade all the scantron tests.
I hate that now I know that's not how it works.
I've left my keys in the front door overnight and all day before. Cars unlocked all the time. Went to sleep with garage door open once. Haven't done any of that since switching my shift to days permanently but lol.
So at work and randomly feel like I have to pee real bad. Like painfully bad. So I do which only really helps while I'm peeing still hurts after. And no it's not herpes just something that happens from time to time usually after eating something bad and well I just had some heavy cream that's probably a little too old. Anyways in the bathroom and coworker keeps knocking saying he needs to pee. So I get out to allow him to pee and he's like I don't want to now...
fun fact: my dad wrote punch-card programming in college.
it's funny cos he's stayed reasonably hooked into the tech field throughout his career, but he's in his late 60s so his younger colleagues sometimes try to ELI5 shit to him and he has to gently explain that he knows enough to keep up.
Those still exist. You're thinking of these types:
http://www.scantron.com/~/media/Scan...hx?h=360&w=960
But now there are programs where you print out the scantron with regular printer paper and then scan it.
Honestly, it's such a huge pain in the ass and not accurate, I'd prefer the old kind.
Scantron tests are the worst kind of tests. I know it's more work for me in the end, but I really prefer short answer or essay testing to get at the heart of what the kids know. Double suckage because your technology isn't even working.
That is far too small.
Part of me agrees with you. The other part remembers it took four days of my vacation just to get caught up on grading.
Plus, we do a huge push on vocabulary at the school since over 80% of the students are ELD, so that's what the scantron was mostly about. The grammar and essay portion were written out. And the essay portion made me very glad I am not a HS student anymore. It was a reflection piece and the three main topics were death, why girls don't like me, and food.
Essay testing is bullshit because its subject to the teachers bias of the student.
In grade 11 chemistry, we had to write a 10 page essay on something, cant remember what. There were 30 or so students in the class, and the teacher somehow read and graded all 30 assignments in about half hour while she had us work on some other assignment. So after we all slaved on that shit for a week, she spent literally a minute on it to grade it. All the "good students" got good grades, and all the "bad students" got bad grades. Even the good students were baffled at how she was marking it.
Scantron tests (or anything else of that matter) arent subjected to any bias from the teacher, you either know the answer or you dont.
