I have had things like that happen when I had an infection start in my lymph nodes. One time was a reaction to a bug bite and another time was the onset of shingles. My lymph nodes started swelling up quite a few days before I had any other reaction in both of those cases.
Yay for laundry day. Start putting quarters into dryer and it's counting them but about 3 in it just stops registering I'm putting them in and wont return them. So try another machine. It lets me put full amount in and hit the button and it says it's drying and the tkmer counting down but nothing happening. So stuck waiting here in the laundry on the one working dryer to finish since I know if I leave the other people who have stuff that's done washing will jump in ahead. So yay for wasting a couple dollars in quarters and a bunch of time
Not sure if fail, or just "life sucks", but scheduled my dog to be put down later this week. She's 10 and has something going on with a front shoulder. It's all swelled up and she's been carrying it a while. Doctor doesn't recommend doing much other than easing pain and letting her go.![]()
I scheduled for friday because I don't want to have to pretend to be OK/professional after. :/ Shit sucks.
Fucking hell. A new temporary employee started today. I didn't know until she already arrived, so I have to scramble to get her e-mail and AD account set up, and since I got no warning, her computer isn't ready for her, so now I'm running around like a mad man getting shit ready and they wonder why things don't work the second she starts......
That's why our 6 shop used to have shit prepped ahead of time.
And I normally do. Can't create an account for a person I have no clue is starting. And it's only temps that county HR is slow as shit on letting us know when someone is starting. If it's a new full time employee, I get 2-3 weeks notice to have them prepped and ready. Yet with temps I'm sometimes lucky if I get notice a half hour before my shift ends.
This is why my corporation makes it mandatory to use request forms authorized by managers/directors to create new AD accounts and emails. What's that, you want to get a new employee started right away? No form submitted or you just submitted it now? Yeaaaaaaaaaaah...not happening. Don't like it? I'll just transfer you to my manager/director <3
I need to start brushing my pups teeth...she just had 4 pulled out today, 1 was in really bad shape (infected and/or chipped) and 3 front ones were "really loose".
Thank god my sister works at a vet though, only 500 bucks to get that done.
Ice machine (for industrial use) at work got fixed yesterday afternoon.
Repair guy left the ice scoop at the bottom. Scoop is now buried 3 feet in ice. RIP ice scoop. Time to buy a new one.
So despite being rather intelligent in most ways my gf is turning out to be a total idiot when it comes to nutrition which is getting annoying. So no surprise when she goes to the doctor and discovers her blood sugar is ridiculously high and she has some kind of insulin resistance. Doctor of course told her she needs to watch it and lower her carb intake and somehow she's determined that she needs to cut protein as well. And that somehow the best/only way to limit carbs is to go vegetarian for reasons.... Which whatever she's a grown woman can eat what she wants even if it's fail. But I know I'm going to have to hear about it for awhile and how great the diet is but how much she hates it. Just like she did when she got into lol juice cleansing
Dude seriously send her to www.reddit.com/r/keto and tell her to enjoy her fucking bacon.
Better yet, leave her and find someone who isn't mentally retarded.
Oh I know planning on it. I've been following something that is basically a very non strict version for the last couple of years and she knows it. But honestly I was just a tad flabbergasted when she said protein spikes blood sugar and somehow eating mostly plants is a good way to avoid carbs lol. So by the time I responded she had already gone to sleep.
Edit: reading over that reddit one thing seems to reinforce the whole half of protein becomes glucose thing which everything I've seen seems to show that was never really proven...
This might end up being an option... she's really smart in a lot ways. But then she goes full potato on some things that just leave me scratching my head.
