Our returns essentially covered the upcoming honeymoon by themselves. I'm sure we'll pay the fuck outta next year, think my dad hit like 5-7k cause of insurance.

Had to pay taxes for the first time ever because my wife, who always could file exempt, didn't change her tax status when we got married. Still owed money even after claiming 0 on state and federal, and having a charitable car donation. -.-;

We went through something similar a few years back. Thankfully it was only like $700 for state but that sucked hard.

It hurts. I went through our stuff filing separately and jointly; jointly was the better option owing 2k. It was sad, though. Based on us filing jointly, getting married last year, and all that jazz it looked like we were going to get about 4.5k back until I started adding my wife's shit in.

Never had to pay in myself (hooray FL with no state tax), but the last three years I've also not received any return, as the government seizes it to pay off my federal student loans.

So get a last minute addition to a route a couple of days ago and boss let them have a time we definitely would not normally be there. So I rewrite the entire route to somehow get them there at the right time with a minimal amount of backtracking. So today the customer calls us turns out we are late getting there because the driver looked at it and was F this and went the general way that made more sense/we'd normally do. So customer is mad, boss is mad and my extra work accomplished nothing lol

Mobile paper shredding. The vast majority of it is ongoing regularly scheduled businesses where it's quick an easy not unlike a garbage pickup complete with cans that look like trashcans with a truck that picks them up and deals with them. We also keep 1 truck at the office for walk ins 4 days a week. Being fairly regularish routes making them as efficient as possible without a bunch of back tracking is a somewhat high priority as most days are rather full and since we mostly service businesses the hours we can be out and about are somewhat limited and we have a fairly limited number of drivers/trucks servicing 5 counties and all our local competitors quit/sold last year.

Fairly regularly we get calls to places to purge a bunch of old records from a business or sometimes a home which we try to work into routes if it's not too huge. Occasionally we also get calls to do other information destruction. Like the wineries around here always have their extra labels destroyed because they are afraid people will try to sell wine under their name. Or the casinos want their cards destroyed because they are super paranoid about such things. Or like the EPA office in San Fran just asked us for a quote to destroy 5000 hard drives. Or medical/dental want X-rays disposed of.

The fail here is not having AAA , even the lowest tier is better than nothing. Also many credit cards and even cell plan providers offer roadside services.

Also many auto insurance providers offer roadside assistance for like $1-$2 per month.
