Random Fail: First World Problems

Put in my notice today for Enterprise and they told me that today would be my last day. A lot of other shenanigans about the job, but the final laugh is they sent me a form to fill out asking for very specific details about my new employer. I told them as professionally as I could to get fucked. Piece of shit company. Rent Hertz BG. >.>

I've heard some shitty stories from former Enterprise employees so sadly this doesn't surprise me. However we've had nothing but great experiences with them during our fiasco with Ford , they provided us our rentals for service through the service contract we bought.

At our dealership we work directly with Enterprise too as our rental/back up loaner cars for guests with no issues but like any company I think it depends which side you're on.

Hertz the one time Melena had to use them have him a broken down car he had to have towed and switched out , then tried to claim we never traded it in. Huge fucking mess that took over a week to deal with.

I hope you're much happier at your new position and fuck giving them details.

I'd just say this. When calling Enterprise, make sure to hit prompt #4 so you get the branch instead of the "call center" ie: my job. The reason I say this is, I'll sight a specific situation. I got a call from a branch member asking to find a closer branch with availability. When searching their branch I showed availability even though the gentleman told me they had nothing. Per Enterprise's policy, I would have to book the reservation with them, even if an employee of the branch was telling me directly they had nothing.

That is just one of MANY shitty things Enterprise wanted us to do to customers. Another was, they sent an email to all of us working from home saying, NEVER EVER tell the customer of any available discounts. Only apply a discount if the customer brings it up. How shitty is that?!

Another thing is now Enterprise owns National and Alamo. If renting from an airport, Alamo is almost always the cheapest. You can also sign up on their website to be an "alamo insider" for free and get an extra 5% off. National is almost always the most expensive. Enterprise is TERRIBLE for airports.

As for Pax - Yes it's next week which is why today made me mad. I had a schedule and I had to rearrange due to someone pulling fuckery. I'm also super anxious/stressed/nervous about Pax so while it will be an enjoyable vacation, there's just a lot to it.


The good news is I still had my eye exam and I have a pair of contacts that allow me to seeeeee yay seeing. Now for glasses (holy shit glasses are expensive)

I get glasses every year and went without new ones for about 6 years because of how strong my prescription is. Let's just say without insurance mine are around $800, but I pay about $70 out of pocket.

we're doing a brewery tour, probably followed by maybe a bar or two and just chillin at our friends house playing Smash Bros, maybe have a fire. Cos that's how our group rolls.

My party is small, only 2 guys may add a third. So I think we're doing a whiskey tour followed by a Yankee game in legendary box, steak dinner after all for just us 3. Then after or the next day we're gonna invite a ton of people up to drink our faces off and hit strip clubs.

Our original idea was a weekend golfing in Carolina or something but this way involves more people.

My wife told me I should go to a strip club on my bachelor party (unprompted). I didn't care about going and nobody in the group (like 15 of us) did either except for my brother was adamant we went, so we did. My brother then ducked out of the rest of the night after the strip club whilst the rest of us stayed out all night drinking.

My wife went ballistic and almost cancelled the wedding over it. She held it against me for years. 6 years on I still don't bring up anything relating to my bachelor weekend or even the city it was in because I know she'll get pissed.

And it's not like I'm a pushover, I get my way on virtually everything. This was like a berserk button for her.

None of my friends give a shit about a strip club either. We ended up at once after dinner and another bar for one of my friend's bachelor parties, but it was mostly pushed by his cousins and brothers.

My cousin's bachelor party had strippers, but it wasn't what he wanted. He was pretty pissed at the end of the night because after the strippers left, his friends and our other cousins went down to the casino to gamble which he never did. Myself and his brother (same age as me) were trying to just get him to another bar, but he just wandered down the boardwalk. Felt bad...

My bachelor party didn't have strippers, another friend's didn't have strippers, and one that I'm helping organize won't either because none of us wanted strippers.
