Your gunna need a bigger boat
Yeah, everything will be fine. Besides the people that left their cars on ground level despite being told multiple times to move them, everyone's been pretty calm and intelligent about it. I've got food for a couple days, I'll just be really sick of eggs/pasta.
Are we having the bank conversation again?
IDK why anyone bothers with a savings account these days. The interest is so tiny it doesn't matter. Just leave it in Checking unless you're getting a CD or putting in a MM account.
Nah, I like savings account cause it makes me feel special. The problem is what banks people are using. Keep putting your money in those shithole companies that suck you dry for the stupidest reasons.
As for Rooney, holy shit man. Where are you at again? I'm going to say Florida. Stay safe!
Aww, I was fairly off. Didn't know ya where getting that much rain.
@Zet I thought you were saying the problem was just don't have a checking account, but I think you were just adding extra info. I think there's nothing wrong with a savings account because my bank doesn't charge me to have one. And I don't think any bank should, therefore there's no real reason not to have one. I look at my savings account like a cute little pet. It was tiny. Now it's a lil bigger. And maybe it gets sick every once in a while but ultimately I'm feeding that fat bitch until I can chop her up for bacon.
My savings account is a pig.
Zet, just <3 man
You are a goddamn idiot.
Fam your money should be in a Roth a traditional and your 401k and your checking account and maybe like a 529 if you are about that life
Most banks have fairly low balance MM accounts too. Still not a great rate but it's much better than the peanuts of a savings account while maintaining a decent amount of liquidity and ease of use if that is one of your worries from other savings/investments. Seriously for my bank it's just another account tab that works the same as my savings except I get more out of it and iirc can only withdraw once a month I think
I'll get there.
That is approximately my income as a grad student, but I don't spend money and live in Pittsburgh so I can still put 5.5k in my Roth IRA each year.
Ordered some new USB 4g data modems for some of our staff who works out in the field. Was given 3 laptops to test them on and 2 of the 3 they won't work with a code 10 in device manager. Most of my day wasted on this and I got other shit to do. Fml
That's about where I am (this last month has been a bit worse) and being bay area even in a crappy part of town my apartment is almost half that. Still it's amazing what making an effort to put away a little each month. Like night and day difference between me and a coworker who makes similar amounts and lives close to me. Granted I'm never gunna get to that life like this but still can get a little bit of savings on... which often just goes to bigger things like new comp lol. Still managed to save an okish amount this year and the new comp+lappy should last awhile. So getting to the point where I have enough of a rainy day to feel fine putting some away into real savings as I go forward as long as I keep my spending habits under control
Biking has been the real mvp though. Insurance/car payments would destroy me. And cooking most my food
i can't do the roth/mm or even savings more than 2k. not a matter of willpower or anything; i literally lose my income if i try. but it's k guys, reagonomics gonna save me any day now.
