I feel you, It's tough to be about that life. Mainly just mentioning those as better alternatives than a random savings account.

I think something a lot of people don't realize is that with a Roth you can withdraw any money you have invested with no penalty. It's a great vehicle for an "emergency fund" because the money is working for you while being available should the shit go down. Just can't take out them gainz until retirement age.

This flooding in Houston got everything all messed up. People at work been at work 24 hours, sleeping in cots to work again in the am. No one allowed to go home. I would have stayed home if i could.
The Parking lots underground ands next to the building flooded out. They tried to save as many cars as they could, i know of one who lost his because of it all.
Watching people boating in the streets or crowds of stranded people on their flooded car roofs was insane.
I stayed away from the roads, but my parents said the San Jac river was well over the banks, it was already high to begin with, hasn't had much chance to go down much lately.
Saw the bayou here downtown was still over its banks, it's scary.
Now that I'm here at work, I'm trying to mentally prepare myself for a 24hr shift, and praying the rain lets up for the next few days so that we don't get forced to.

I'm sick as a dog but have to go in to work because a project has a critical deadline today and I'm the only that can accomplish certain goals. The fail is 1) I'm sick. 2) I've been pushing for months for other people to handle their stuff but they pushed off until last moment and now I'm going to get the brunt of it.

God I hate people sometimes. Person insists on coming in on a day we aren't open. Apparently can't use a gps/google maps because she requires very specific directions to get here. Then after failing at said directions calls to get step by step instructions but apparently still can't understand things like go 3 buildings down and is asking each building if it's the right one. I'm honestly surprised this person even has a car as just making it to the dealership or work or home seems beyond her

I've been over today since 8:30am. The rampant levels of stupid and incompetence are testing my patience more each day. I also have had brutal insomnia last 4 nights so that isn't helping.

I understand some generations aren't as tech or computer savvy , but if we have to explain the same basic process as in using a file on a shared drive one more time I'm going to scream. I also don't understand how when we get asked the same questions every day , how people fail to comprehend or remember this.
And now people are leaving their cooked food in the microwave like always forever so I have no way of heating my food. I used to feel bad for hating people but I'm beginning to think they deserve it.

I am maxing out 3 Excel files with data right now and trying to get aggregate numbers and start pivot'ing everything I need.

Within said files, there are very minute errors from user input error. I can't say the data source but the owner used to be mayor of New York.

Manually fixing errors in a sheet with 240k+ lines across 1200+ rows is going to make me insane.

Know what pisses me off? Water. I drink water like a fucking stallion, and of course that means taking leaks all the time. I can't get any damn sleep. One would think, 'cutting down the water intake couple of hours before hitting they hay should fix the prob and you'll sleep like a foal.' Nope still get 'em, I'd describe them as 'phantom urges,' I guess. Mai solution is to piss in a bottle, and if I get thirsty I'll drink it like Soda.

Jefe might be describing a different beast. For a while I would wake up at night and go to the bathroom feeling like I had to pee, but I'd get like ten drops and no relief. Very frustrating because you're doing the complex "Do I really have to pee? Am I, a grown man, going to piss the bed if I just ignore this feeling and go back to sleep?" calculations while sleepy, which wakes you up. I lost more than a few hours of sleep to this problem.

No idea what changed but it went away.
