You're in Florida. People care about flip flops? I haven't worked a single job where it was a problem to wear flip flops, all of them have been business casual.

When I worked at Walgreens in college I had to get written permission from corporate to wear flip flops after I had an ingrown toenail removed and I couldn't wear closed shoes because of the bandages lol
Actually I can get our dresscode from ADP!
EDIT: I actually got told off last Friday for wearing my hoodie. Couldn't argue it because it's in the handbook plain as day but people have been wearing hoodies on casual friday for as long as I can remember without anything ever being said. (Yes I wore a hoodie in Florida, I sit directly under the AC and they wanted us all wearing company t-shirts that Friday)Dress Code

Can I please get an example of capris so casual that someone could get called out for them?
Or is it just the people who wear the capris that determine whether or not they're casual? "Oh, Sheryl is wearing capris today? Go hit the dirty fucking casual for a dress code violation. Force disconnecting on the raid because her husband burned himself... god damn. Tell him to rub some dirt in it."
Also, I'd like the official opinion on skorts. Legislating women's fashion is just a nightmare.
The ones with cargo pockets? Or I guess just denim capris.
Been meaning to write a fail in a similar vein...
So most my family isn't that dysfunctional but one of my better friends from HS is. Not in such a trashy way but it still bad. Like constantly publically airing out fairly bad financial decisions sometimes asking for opinions that she then basically ignores then turns around and constantly blames the world, capitalism, the big corporations etc for her money problems. Like for example she insists on living the rest of her life in the town she went to college because she can't afford to move... because college towns are notoriously low cost of living especially in california not to mention she still has family up here that would help... Or like when she asked if she should have another kid when she couldn't really afford the one she had and had trouble conceiving/carrying to term anyways so more medical costs. Sticking with a job that wouldn't even really give steady hours cause not sure I actually heard the reason think it might be it's cushy and stable government job. Not to mention she was pretty smart and one of the most math/science oriented people I went to school with so lots of potential there. Is very artsy and talented making various nick knacks, fan made memorabilia that would sell well in niche markets and people have actually already expressed interest in buying them but refuses any idea of selling them. Just the other day made a huge rant about how she loves writing and is currently doing a few thousand pages a day (she definitely does and from what I remember was fairly good at it) while saying she'd never consider publishing while getting digs in how capitalism thinks she has failed but who cares.
Like I don't care so much that she wastes her potential almost as much as I do (well I mean I care because she was a close friend but it doesn't get to me too bad)... but actively choosing to even when it's harder while blaming the world and posting woe is me the world is unfair, damn corporations, the patriarchy (yes she has gone full feminism) did it, etc is fairly disheartening/aggravating especially to someone when I knew her irl always seemed to possess a great amount of inner strength and self determination. That and ignoring any advice that doesn't support the decision she clearly wants to make
Okay so she had deleted her post and now this one pops up:
"My bf just said he's gonna get a pig and name it ham lol I laughed way too hard at this haha"
So did he ... not leave her down here? Did he come back for her and take pity after everyone commented talking mad shit about him? Was she posting for attention? I'm so goddamn confused dude this chick needs to get her fucking life together, I am staying far the fuck away.
I'm beginning to suspect he went to jail to escape her.
From what I have seen, the likelihood of you getting called out on a dresscode violation for capris, dress length, 'revealing' tops is directly proportional to how attractive the girl is and how old the female manager is calling them out.
One young girl who was really sweet and innocent was relentlessly bullied by her manager for dresscode violations despite them never being valid. And the fact that the young girl clearly wasn't remotely interested in attracting attention for her looks either. She was 17-19 during her tenure, I was the closest in age to her in the office (9 years older and married) so it's not like there was anyone for her at work to start with.
Hoodie. The only jacket I own is like a big thermal snowboarding jacket, didn't bother bringing the rest after I emigrated (from the UK). Whereas I have a few hoodies, generally for winter or when I go travelling.
I am so glad that my job doesn't care what I wear to work. I am happy being a shut in IT guy in my computer room.
what the fuck at wearing flip flops to work, even in FL
My sister in law raises chickens and ducks. About a month ago we took two ducklings back down with us because two friends wanted to raise ducks. Two weeks later they get a dog, a German Shepard/Alaskan Husky mix. For whatever reason, they are adamant about the dog being an "outside only" dog.
Everyone told them it was a bad idea to get the dog and leave it outside to roam free in the yard because it would kill the ducks. Well, guess what happened? The dog killed one of the ducks. So my wife gets a text last night from the girl saying that the dog killed one of the ducks and asking us to take the other one back to my sister in law so that the dog doesn't kill that one too.
My wife is rightfully pissed because they did literally nothing to prevent this despite the warnings they were given. Now my wife has to explain that these friends of ours let one of the two ducks (the first two ducklings she got from her ducks) get killed by their dog because of their negligence and apparent lack of any understanding of animal interactions. The other duckling is now a scared little thing; it watched the dog kill his sister.
To top it off, it's my sister in law's 40th birthday this weekend which was the reason we were going to go up to visit.
Poor little duckyRIP
I hate when animals are killed by human stupidity. So fucking preventable.
