I do believe kin-keeping is a real thing women feel we need to do. I know I do, and it stresses me the fuck out. I don't want you guys thinking I'm claiming your grievance are invalid, just that it's a real thing and women can easily get exhausted over it, and that's probably why your girl (and Xno's, etc.) was freaking out.

That's kind of a silly statement though. This is medical science. It depends on exactly what's meant by rejection and reduced function. An illness reduces bodily function (sometimes severely), but eventually you get over it. Does rejection mean tissue death (more or less permanent problem)? Does it mean antibodies are interfering with normal cellular function (more or less temporary problem)?

Well yes but in a strict sense recovering lost utility of an organ or regenerating tissue is not something ubiquitous in the human body. Zet is right that the liver is a great counter-example, but afaik kidneys, stomach, intestines, etc do not regenerate on a large scale.

But I'm not a med scientist so hey, I could be wrong.

So coworker was telling me about some chicks hitting him up on whatever random hookup ap he has. And some of them are amazing looking and I can't figure out why they interested. Like dude is fat not really that good looking and can't be personality since he was coming to me to see if I could translate the shit she was saying lol.

But the real fail comes when I ask what celebrity he put for his pic on there to trick the girls and he goes to show his photos and finds out the ap decided to basically upload all his fb pics including ones with his current "gf". Damn technology cockblock

Went for a promotion in my company -- was told by the Director... and I paraphrase but kept the swear he said: "No bull shit, we have no doubt that you can do the job, in-fact we were deeply impressed by your interview and what you've done so far with the company - but we have chosen to go to a different path. Let me ask, how old are you?" Which I responded turning 27 in a month.... and he then when on about my maturity and how many in a couple months or a year I will be ready."

This is pretty much blatant age discrimination. I had three referrals from people who do the job that work under him I was going for and I even had had my director write a letter of recommendation. I am a young looking 26, and I think that this director - who knows nothing about me aside from the work I've done, and to keep it vague, I've done very well, and tells me I am to immature and that I can come off a bit harsh. I am salty.

I have a meeting with that same director today to talk about his feed back and ask if he feels my maturity is due to my emotional intelligence, and how he feels I am "too harsh" when I run a program that gets rave reviews from the VP of our building.

FYI: I make great money at my current job, I am happy - I was looking for a new challenge as I have turned this program into a well oiled machine, and I am not going to destroy my career with this company by doing any sort of legal recourse. More of a vent session today.

Following up on this... I was contacted by the Senior Director of Sales for an opportunity, so the guy in the paragraph above boss.... have an interview tomorrow @ 10AM..... email from him today:
"Word on the street is you were interested in Sales. I have an opportunity for you to consider. Throw some time on my calendar tomorrow or Friday to discuss."

Will report back... let's see how this goes.

With a lot of exorcize I can probably get back a few % but for the most part, that 20% is gone. With every bit of chronic rejection it gets harder and harder to recover from it.
