It looks like a mirror image of the town next to me that I used to work in which has similar videos (just more jews).
Should have put in an offer where all the rich white people live in Ashburn and South Riding.
Welp, just got notice from our landlord today. he signed a contract with someone to buy the unit. They still have to go through all the financial checks and board approval, but more or less I'm going to have to move soon. We were getting the sweetheart deal too $1500/mo for 2br/1ba 1150 sf. Nice area in Westchester County. I moved into this place at my leisure before. This is the first time I'm going to have to move on a time frame. Shit sucks. Our lease is through 7/31 and it could take longer than that for everything, but UGH. I mainly don't want to move because it's going to be a major fucking pain in the ass to move this 4k Samsung 65" tv I got a few months ago.
You live in Bestchester? I grew up there.
Moving totally fucking blows dude, and being forced to do it is even worse.
Westchester isn't upstate.
NYC and LI need to go back to school and learn some state geography.
Dude, 40 minutes is totally upstate.
Anything above Central/Capital is upstate NY.
We were on lockdown at work for about 20 minutes today as some idiot with a gun nearby fired some shots but no one injured. Then after that fiasco went to enjoy some crackers and hummus I bought yesterday , try to open hummus and the plastic explodes covering me and my desk.
Now I'm still hungry and lunch isn't until 2pm. Blah
Everything outside of NYC is upstate
i could never live that far west. I'm either in merrifield or on the hill for work but even if that weren't the case bump that. Those people aren't even rich (aside from those that are mega rich), its just cheap to live there because anyone with a good job doesnt want that shitass commute
Just come live with me baebae
i wonder if there are beds ergonomically designed for us to sleep in a 69
I'm honestly just thinking of buying a 1BR. I know people often say that's a terrible idea etc, but honestly after having moved once (and only once, I'm lucky) having to move again in the next 3-6~ months, and then however many times after that (with or without roommates, idc) it just doesn't seem worth renting. In the last 2.5 years, I've put close to $28k towards rent. And I have absolutely nothing to show for that. I'm single, never want kids, so a smaller (800 sf or so) place isn't an issue for me. I have great credit, a very low DTI and about $60,000 a year in income (gross) I am realistically looking at mortgages that are anywhere from 90-120k. I know a 1 BR is typically harder to sell, but it's all I need.
A mortgage for me in my parents building would run about $400 a month plus about $600 for maintenance. I pay $950 a month in rent now (with utilities, granted) but with my income plus low amount of debt, I think it's totally doable. It's just a major decision so I'm obviously a bit hesitant.
Good luck man!
It's smart to think things out and it is a big decision for sure. There's still a market for 1BR just as you said may be harder to sell but still you would be building something versus paying rent - I totally understand as we are going on 6 years renting. Whatever you decide best if luck.
As long as the math works out I say do it. Just don't let the idea of "nothing to show" chose for you if it's not better financially. That said sounds like it would be where you are as that is some odd rent to house prices. I mean if you paying about the same either way might as well have a place you can do whatever you want with and potentially resell.
