My sister did this with a kohl's giftcard today. Had to respond that it was a scam 'cause she sent it to my mom, and I wouldn't put it past my mom to get scammed by it.

The smaller item ones are often times not scams. You just have to make sure that whoever is doing it is reputable. I won a $400 camera bag and a $300 camera bag from commenting on facebook posts. Oh I also won a $150 gaming headset from Amazon Games that way too.

My buddy won some camera gear that way as well.

I totally agree though the majority of them are complete utter bullshit specially the win a house, car, millions of dollars, etc. ones.

Unless you maintain a very low carb and no sugar diet and stay away from any acidic food/drink (which are more common than you think) eating will always cause some damage. And trying to brush it away right away can make it worse. And while the average persons body can handle the small amounts not everyone's can

Also if you have acid reflux your teeth are pretty much just fucked sooner or later. If you have dry mouth no amount of brushing and flossing after meals will stop the extra bacteria growth in your sleep. I'm sure there are plenty of other conditions as well

This one was definitely fake. Both snopes listed and it had one of those counters counting down how many gift cards were left. Yet, anytime I loaded the page it reset the counter to 389.

Ended up being close to an hour on hold but it was worth it, ended up getting $150 knocked off my hotel reservation. I guess it turned into a win.

Nothing that was their fault. I had to call to update my credit card info and make a payment on my reservation. In the month or so since I made my reservation, Disney announced their fall resort promotion. Had I not called and requested their promotional rates, I would have been stuck with the original one, but if you call them out on it, they will switch it over for you no problem. Got my room down to $95 a night, fuck yeah.
