Man, Thursday was a day that I won't forget soon. I went to make my first inquiries about buying a home. Who knew it was so complicated. Pre-qual was easy. Got approved np. But all the shit after, talking to the realtor to see if they can get the buyer to come down (the apartment needs a bunch of work, carpets, flooring etc. so I can drive it down, plus seller lives in FL) additional shopping around, coming up with a massive 20% downpayment since it's a co-op and that's one of their requirements, hiring an attorney to get a contracts, board approval, jesus fuck.
On the upside, the apartment is very nice sized, maybe even bigger than what I have now (1000 sf) with the potential to be super nice when done with it. I hope I can get the seller down to 90k with all the work that needs to be done. I'd take it as is and then put anything additional towards the apartment. Gonna be a long few stressful months
