I think this is a fair price or they can get someone else in here to be their dog for them.

I got rid of fucking fruit flies. I keep them gone. I clean the fucking fridge out because I don't think they know how. Their dishes can sit for days and they can have their fruit flies back if they want to change it. They're adults with 30+ hour a week jobs. If I can afford roughly $500 a month then they can afford $400.

I mean, they're going to start having to. No one is going to rent this room for more than $500 and they know that. They can't pawn off the extra HOA fees just because it got added to the expenses. They know they can get $450-500 for this room, but not much more. That was good for them because it left them with a $225 rent each.

I think the price is fair, too. I'm just pointing out the phrasing could be important, especially since diplomacy seems to be a concern here. If the breadwinner is stressed about money and her girlfriend is employed but freeloading, it's probably already putting strain on their relationship and doesn't need to be brought up. You're 1/3 of the house, you pay 1/3 the costs, and whatever they collectively choose to do about the other 2/3 is not really your problem. That's all I mean.

I have been awake for 14 fucking hours already today, because some fucking drunk chick thought it would be cool to pull the fire alarm at 4:30am. THERE WAS NO FUCKING FIRE. I have spent the rest of my day dealing with maintenance and management traipsing in and out of my apartment to clean out the water and assess damages. The only upside to all of this is that I woke up early enough into the whole thing that I moved all my stuff to the far end of the apartment, so I didn't really lose anything. Well, ~$15 worth of food in the pantry, but w/e. Half of the carpet padding, the carpet, floorboards in the kitchen/hallway/bathroom, and the flooring in the kitchen. Plus w/e damage there is to the drywall/sheetrock. Fuckity fuck fuck fuck. Stupid bitch.
