Call up a local bar and ask them if they found a (insert your phone) charger and that you lost it the other night. You'd be surprised how many phone chargers end up behind the bar.

My best buy branded lightning cable car charger did the same thing after like 6 months of use. Luckily since it was less than a year, they swapped it for a new one.

I'm getting really sick and tired of getting emails asking for money for coworkers birthdays. Running tab if I threw in $5 for each celebration since April would be near $100. Though since I have done a blanket ban on celebrating birthdays and baby showers, I probably look like an asshole despite being thrifty and saving money on eating cake every damn week or at times twice a week because there are that many people in the office/lab.

We live in the go fund me/kickstarter era of "well if everyone gave me a single dollar id be a billionaire" logic. This is a way of offsetting people having less money nowadays I guess.

I just make it known "I wan't nothing and I am giving you nothing" and people just back off thinking I'm an asshole. Which is fine.

If I really like the person, I'll kick in a few bucks. I also do the secret santa thing here at work since people here are not cheap. When I was at the sheriff's office, our IT staff did a white elephant gift exchange, and someone went to fucking CVS and bought a package of woman's hand lotion. On a level I get it, which is why I'm not extremely pissed. Just really sad I didn't take the chance/opportunity when it first came up - there was more acceptance and probability then.

I live for things like this, folks. Sex to me - not that big a deal. Doesn't have to be so socially scorned. Doesn't have to be some scary legality. But it still is, and I aim to keep breaking barriers when possible.
