Nah, I work for a small cardboard company. The way you did it makes sense as at least someone was able to receive the email and, as you said, facilitate the reset. In my case it was pure bonehead brainfart. I called the guy 4 hours later and was like "my email password won't reset itself'" We both had a good laugh and he gave me the new password over the phone.

You wouldn't know that though because you've demonstrably never picked up a book nor educated yourself on the matter. Let me guess, overweight housewife?

So small update on the motorcycle incident since there was some debate on my truth telling:

I've had to talk to my insurance and the guy's insurance a few times because he basically stated the same thing I did except claimed I cut him off (bs, but w/e). All of us were basically waiting on the police report, which I think was taking a bit because of tracking down witnesses.

Just got a call today from his insurance company telling me I'm getting two staggered letters. The first one is basically a preliminary statement to say that I might be considered at fault based on the guy's story. The second one will state I am found not at fault because they finally got the police report. The report, I guess, confirms the rider was going at way too fast a speed for the traffic going on.

If FNH really wants me to post (or I'll probably be more comfortable pming) the letter when I get it I can. Police report costs $10 and I have to drive a few towns over to get it, so f that.

I thought it was almost always the splitters fault in an accident? Everything I have read about it says to do it if you want but understand you basically have no insurance short of someone opening their door on you deliberately.

The guy claims at the point of the accident he was already in the carpool lane (not lane sharing) before I got in there, which is bs, but until they got the police report it was my word against his.

Then it should have been an easy swerve to the fog line for him. Sounds like an idiot to me

I honestly think he was following that policy of, "do not admit fault." When I talked to my rep he said the guy was trying to file a serious injury claim. I don't know specifically what, but I do know that when the fireman checked him they told me he only had some minor scratches. And he was walking around and able to drive off on his bike afterwards. So, sounds like since his rep believed his story he decided to get greedy. lol

My county's social services is fucking infuriating and inefficient. They've successfully managed to avoid me twice now, once by closing early (wtf) and again today by just plain being shitty. I submitted my application online this time, because it's more convenient and that way they can't just lock me out. Got a letter in the mail confirming my appointment for a phone-interview @ my cell's number today between 8 and 11 AM (Which they chose, without bothering to consult me). Noon rolls around and still no call. Wait until they've finished eating, call. Apparently they can see a copy of my letter, which clearly states they'll call on the 17th... but they also say they had me down for a call on the 14th and that I didn't answer. Since my only phone is my cell phone, and I rarely actually make/receive calls, it happens that my history is very easy to check. So I do. No calls, incoming or outgoing, at all, on the 14th. Ask about that. Apparently they have my number listed as my parents' number. To be fair, I DID live there. 4 months before I submitted my application. And the letter clearly shows my cell number as the number they'd call.

So I'm thinking some lazy prick used auto-fill to overwrite my application with the one from two years ago, which gave them the wrong number and date (pretty sure my first appointment with them was on the 14th of that month) and the computer automatically corrected the date to one which isn't in the past, and then just didn't bother to double-check it. But somehow they still had the correct address, so I just don't fucking know. Somewhere, someone did something fucking stupid, and it wasn't me. So now I have another appointment for the 28th, because god forbid they just fucking do the phone interview while I'm talking to them on the phone on the day they told me they'd do a phone interview.

    Federal was way easier.

Yesterday on my way home from work I took a corner with my motorcycle a little fast. I leaned too far into it and slammed the foot peg on the ground. I was lucky that I didn't hit my foot on the ground but the impact made the bike rebound and I almost ate shit on the high side. It was the closest I have ever come to dumping my bike. I ended up in the gravel before I recovered and am still not sure how I didn't lose it when the bike hit the gravel. A large amount of luck was involved here. There were no obstacles on the side of the road. If there had been anything except 10 feet of packed gravel along the road, I wouldn't be posting this right now. The foot peg is hosed as well as the bracket but it's only $30 to replace it. Lesson learned: This bike sits too low to take high angle turns. I think I will be raising the suspension a bit when I get home today.

Damn son. You got lucky indeed. Fucking hate gravel. I wiped out after hitting a gravel patch years ago on the PA turnpike. Not fun. Any time I've ever had an issue it was because of that fucking shit.

Lane Splitters are always at fault except in California, where it's legal.

I had to carry a 50" led TV up two flights of stairs. On the plus side I now know how hd should look.

At least it wasn't a old school tube TV!

My fail: With 9 classes to go, I'm carrying a 4.0 on my Master's program. My parents now expect me to finish with a 4.0 or I will "disappoint" them.
