I saw a legitimate business that has been around and in business for many years start a gofundme to update their kitchen equipment. Like isn't that what profits are? If you don't have enough money to do something you A) get a business loan B) sell more shit c) go out of business.

That one was confusing as heck. I am not going to just donate money to a business that isn't a non profit. If I give you money I expect a pie or some baked goods in return or something.

Actually had an old Highschool friend basically run a poll like that on facebook about a couple years back. Like guys I need your opinion I can barely afford take care of the kid I already have living in the town I went to college at but refuse to move to somewhere cheaper but really want another kid. Should I already knowing I can't afford it? Sure enough all those great supportive friends said go for it. Meanwhile I was like do what you want but you better not complain about your finances after this lol

Personally, i'm of the belief of if you can't provide the basics for yourself, you shouldn't be popping out a kid. Had a former friend, was finally on permanent state disability, boyfriend was unemployed, just got out of a week + hospital stay with no insurance. Few weeks later she says she's pregnant and can't wait to have the baby. Ask her how she plans on taking care of it when neither of you two work, have no living family in the area and no insurance and your bf still trying to get healthy enough to work and she replied "Well that's what welfare is for."

She thankfully broke off communication with us cause we were not all puppies and rainbows with unicorns over her pregnancy thing.

A friend of a friend has a brother who is married and they just keep putting kids out like a baby factory. They're going on their fifth due in the winter, and the brother is a part-timer working retail. They've had to move twice and have to skip out on every family gift-giving holiday.

How the fuck do people dance to 80s music? I went out last night with a couple of friends and the first place we went to was this place doing 80s night. Usually most places packed with hipsters I try to avoid because trying to socialize with hipsters, if you're not part of their clique, is like trying to moisturize your skin with sand paper. I'm not saying I'm the best dancer but my body just couldn't comprehend how to move to it much less enjoy it. Needless to say, we left after 2 songs and a tab that took me way too long to close because the establishment thought having one bartender on a busy-assed night was a great idea.

I guess the one win though is possibly preventing a rape later that night so yeah.

My HTC m8 had its screen cracked for many months now, so I finally upgraded to a s7 Edge. Had it 3 days, and while on a walk with the dog he yanks hard on the leash, causing my arms to be pulled sideways, dropping my new s7 edge. It landed on a corner, inside it's case, but still the entire screen is cracked. Three fucking days after I bought it. I'm at a loss for words, I'm gonna try to bring it in tomorrow and con my way to a new phone, wish me luck T_T.

Found out a company is finally coming into my rural area and offering real high speed broadband that I could get at my house. The fail is that they don't provide internet to homes only businesses so they only do business class of service type connections which are incredibly expensive about $140 per 1 mbps worth of connection speed.

Like I said earlier, you could stand to overcome your disgust. Financially speaking, it's possible they did look into a loan, but the interest rate wasn't something they were keen on. Simply selling more might also not be possible depending on the size of equipment, the time it takes to prep stuff, and other factors. Further, new equipment could actually help their profits via energy savings, potentially better/bigger prep areas, upkeep, and then some.

Without knowing much more, how integral do they seem to be the community? As is, it sounds like a mom and pop's kind of place, which could understandably use help if you've got enough chain stores around. End of the day, though, they either raise enough or they don't. No gun to your head. The point may simply be to supplement with what they do have.

Thanks to tech, however, this stuff isn't going away. It just seems more "obvious" than it was 10-20 years ago where instead it was maybe a bake sale, raffle, car wash, or whatever that relied on physical word of mouth and flyers that'd be easy to miss.

If they were playing this, I would've been golden but in a club full of wypipo with a wypipo DJ, I was very skeptical of old hip hop being played.
