bruh i bet they are paying like 200 bucks
I got a 3.875, payment is only $385 a month. Of course, the HOA/maintenance is $595 which makes 0 sense, but hey, I can pay mortgage/maint/utils/cable in one paycheck. I still have to get approved and whatnot, but the loan is only 80k. My income isn't much less than that. 900 s/f. one bedroom apartment in a very good area. I'm happy. Please BG, send me home depot/bed bath beyond gift cards when I close!
Just as soon as you send me a gtx 1080 and that sweet ass screen!
So many fails today. So between one guy quitting and a decent work day I had to go out today and earlier than normal. Then part way thru the run boss remembers that whoops we had this big job he forgot to put in. So we go to that which is basically 4 hours standing on the hot asphalt loading up garbage cans and dumping them.
Part way thru truck stops working. Turns out on wire is connected with only a crimp connector in a very high vibration area so was bound to break or come out anyways like it did just last week. Since this goes to a sensor that tells the truck if it's ok to dump more stuff it breaking completely stops us. So go to our toolbox... 10000 wrenches when all I need is a knife or pliers or wirecutter anything. Coworker is convinced he can fix it by taping the wire back into the connector without even stripping some insulation off first. This of course works for all about 5 seconds it stays in the perfect position. I tell him we need to strip it 3 tries later he's still telling me it will work and to start it back up and seeing ignoring my asking for his knife. Eventually he listens and strips one wire and then wraps it around the insulation of the other again telling me to start it up and see if it works. Finally just tell him to gtfo and give me his knife and do it right though I'm hindered by not having much wire length to work with now and he's totally twisted up the one end he did. Seriously guy if you don't know how to work with electrical stuff let someone who used to do it for a living
my fucking allergies
my gf's roommate has 2 cats and a dog
i'm fine with dogs, they don't bother me. cats tho, i'm pretty allergic to cats. so i've been sleeping over there a lot, and it's finally catching up to me. my throat is sore as fuck. not like "oh im getting a cold" sore, sore as in "these fucking muscles are tense and won't relax." it hurts to swallow. it is uncomfortable to talk. so i'm sitting at home now instead of spending time with my gf because my throat is unbearable and was only getting worse while i was there, and she has to work today and needs to get some errands done, so she can't come hang out here.
so i'm probably done sleeping over at her place for a while, which sucks because my bed is only a twin and also i live inconveniently far away from her work, our friends, and anything interesting. Also, there is exactly one apartment complex I (probably) qualify for that isn't in a bad neighborhood, and it's small and only 1br apts so probably a long waiting list.
thats wild. even the most upscale of upscale shit out here has a bunch of units reserved for welfare queens like you. thanks obama
Yeah. The first 4 floors of my building are a fucking zoo.
They pay less than 10% of what I do to live in the building.
Equality amirite?
well, those exist here too, but the thing is they're either senior of family housing. so you need to be 65+ or have a kid.
the one nice one is disability housing, all the rest are just basic low-income housing. which, according to my friends (who may be just a tad racist), are full of immigrants. mainly Somalians.
i'm hoping that A: the waiting list is shockingly short for the nice place and/or B: my friends are exaggerating and the other place isn't as bad as it looks on the crime heatmaps. In it's defense, it's better than a dozen or so other low-income places in town.
As someone who is horribly allergic to cats and yet has 3, here's a couple of tips. One, see if they will be willing to wipe them down with an anti dander wipe. It doesn't harm the cats at all, and helps lower the dander and get rid of fur they are shedding. Second is to try to handle them. Your body will eventually get used to them if you interact enough with them. The first few weeks with every cat i've had was a nightmare till I got used to them. I still have to take daily claratin tablets since I'm also horribly allergic to dust, and with all the electronics we have, our apartment is a dust factory, and it's not feasible for us to vacuum every day.
the anti-dander wipe is interesting, but i feel like it would be too little too late. the cats have had the run of this apartment for a long time, and it's noticeable the instant you walk in. as for adapting... that's not gonna happen, though i wish it would. i love cats. i had one for a LONG time growing up. if i were gonna adapt, i'd have done it then. it particularly bothers me because her roommate's cats are so sweet. one is an attention whore, and LOVES to cuddle. he'd be my bro if he didn't make me sick. the other is more independent, but still a softie.
on the bright side, she's moving out in the next month or two, and she's gonna try to get a place of her own (no roommates) so that'll be nice.
After getting the wrong order THREE times in the last week, I've decided I will from now on always be that asshole that holds up the drive thru line to check my order. Ugh.
^5 I signed on a mortgage today too. Will be so glad to stop paying way over the odds in rent, even if it did tack on 20 minutes to my work commute.
Although there is some fail attached. Wife cancelled the electric figuring we'd be moved by now and it cancels tomorrow. We aren't moving until next Friday now though and we only realized at 7pm we forgot to tell them to delay it. They close at 6pm so can't contact them now to tell them to stop. So there's a possibility our electricity is going out at midnight! Not sure when they cut it.
So my workplace changed ownership companies today (we had a couple months notice but this is our first week of the new company) and the new one is a pain in the ass. Lot of extra procedure and I hate the new uniform. I hate how all the people from the new company literally sound like obnoxiously cheerful slimeballs who don't want to be here. And I'm sure they don't, but still annoying.
I mean our staff isn't changing at all. I just don't know how long our overlords are babysitting for.
I've been employed with a company that did a merger before and it was pure hell. The other company took control of our department and made everything as inefficient as fucking possible. I was only temping there so I was let go not long after that, but it really sucked while it lasted.
