Random Fail: First World Problems

yeah, but i would expect a fever if that were the case. i mean, i guess it's possible i'm simply not running one despite the bug, or not noticing (alas, my thermometer died so i can't check), but that would be way out of the norm for me. i always run a fever when i'm sick. i suppose it could be a localized infection.

i'd almost rather it be a mystery symptom that goes away of its own accord. infections are awful. with my suppressed immune system, it invariably means a long course of rough antibiotics, and those always play hell with my gut biome.


well, barring any changes, there's nothing for it but to wait until Tuesday. I've found a few things that help alleviate the pain and let me get some sleep (after running myself down way more than usual). drinking lots of honeyed tea, shifting the saliva around in my mouth, holding my head at specific angles, that sort of thing.

My girlfriends aunt is remarrying, and my girlfriend caught the bouquet. The garter was next, so of course I have to give it the ol college effort. I jumped for it, and had it within my grasp, when out of nowhere my gfs 11 year old cousin jumps up, snatches it, tucks it in like a fucking pass, and I go tumbling to the floor in shame. Think I pulled a muscle in my leg for the effort lol. Best part is, once he realized he had to put the garter back on, his face dropped and he threw it to me lol.

Person wanted to buy our crib set today. Asked to have it disassembled before picking it up. We do, but when she wanted to put the drawers back in, one was having issues resetting (never had problems in the past) she decides to back out since she was buying it for the grandparents and was worried they'd have issues opening it.

so, more theories about my throat, because the pain is distracting and venting my thoughts about it helps somewhat:

there are inflamed areas in my mouth, at the back and to the sides of my tongue, which feel suspiciously like the fissures on my ass. further, this could easily fit within my original theory: i long ago established that otherwise unrelated events in an area where subdued Crohn's symptoms reside can easily irritate those symptoms, causing them to run rampant. so this could be a Crohn's flare-up (induced by prolonged allergen exposure, aka sleeping at my gf's cat-ridden apartment for 2 nights in a row). i don't recall having developed fissures in my mouth like this, but it's possible it happened without me noticing or it simply happened long enough ago that i forgot.
