Got stranded at JFK after my layover flight was cancelled. Originally was going to rent a car and just drive the few hours (5ish?) home, but was convinced by airline staff I would be on the next flight to Boston.

12 hours later, I'm finally home.

If the drive is like < 6 hours I will tell everyone to fuck directly off and rent a car.

Fail in my city today, someone called to report a man with a gun walking around a very busy street. Streets were closed, people/businesses evacuated for hours. Turns out there was indeed a man walking around with a gun--a uniformed Brinks armored truck driver making a cash delivery to a Chipotle. Sigh.

Reminds me of the time this dude I was standing watch with called Shore Patrol on a pair of lobster divers while I was doing my tour without going up the chain of command first to let anyone know what was going on. Chew on some ice cubes. Might be able to trick your brain that you are actually eating by chewing and swallowing. I've done that a few times for various reasons and it seems to do the trick.

I beleive we had one in a nearby city shutdown because someone was carrying around one of those novelty umbrellas that look like a weapon. Better safe than sorry, but still. Quite a waste of time.

My roommate gave me his notice that he is moving at the end of September. Shit. He was a good roommate, relatively speaking in that he kept to himself and never missed a rent/utilities payment, and I really appreciate his advanced notice, but October is probably one of the worst times to try to rent out a room in a college town. To the Craigslist I go.

Some bitch at work filed a complaint to HR because I "physically threatened her".
A couple days ago she complained to one of my bosses that I'm "mean to her", and she's a fucking SJW who insults people then cries victim when they get upset when they insult her back. What did I do that was mean to her? She insulted someone on facebook, and they got mad, so she'd mad at me because that person got mad at her. So my boss told me to try and talk to her. I sent her a text saying that "we need to have a talk because of shit you've provoked, I hope you know what you're getting into", the latter being perceived as a threat yet my implication was that she gets upset at any negative feedback towards her, and thats what the talk would be.

Now that she complained to HR, I had to dig up all the fucking dirt on her and bury her in order to save my menial retail job.

Best part: She's wanted my dick for the past 2+ years, but she's so fucking unattractive on the inside and outside. She thought me and someone else at work was fucking, so she actually started shit talking her to everyone to get everyone to dislike her.
