Live Free or Die, motherfucker.
Live Free or Die, motherfucker.
I swear I roll my eyes everytime I see that.
Every single car has it at least once.
aoe why not just call an uber to take you to a movie or something wow problem solved you are WELCOME
There's no Uber up in Nowheresville. Definitely call a cab though.
wow i can't imagine being in a place without uber i didnt know that existed
It's almost impossible to get an Uber east of Riverhead on Long Island. Once you hit the Hamptons areas, north or south fork, they stay away.
Well it was a pain in the ass when I was at a wedding out there two weeks ago.
She is refusing to be in the same room as me with all of management and HR present, she still "fears for her life". Her best friends at work are even telling her that shes trying to make something out of nothing.
She came to work yesterday before i got in to meet with the bosses, and while she was waiting she was going around to every employee saying "look at this horrible disgusting text he sent me". She was told that it has to be kept confidential until its resolved, and shes going around telling the whole world of the situation trying to get sympathy.
One of the 20 yr employees called me up last night to tell me she's fed up with this girls antics. She constantly sees her doing whatever she can do not have to do her actual job.
We got a new boss in February, and since then, she has been trashing her to the other bosses over petty shit, saying she does a bad job and how she's not on top of things (ie: writing shit like"we dont have enough spare 5$ bills this is unacceptable" in the "whats going on" memo to the employees).
Last night, the girl was telling someone else why she thinks im mad at her. "Well 2 months ago, he asked me to switch shifts with him, and he got upset because I actually made him beg for it". Like why would you confess that to other people?
If what you've said is true, you're only fucking yourself by being difficult about this and gossiping. Just stfu and let management figure out how to fire this girl without getting sued.
I thought it was fairly obvious he was talking about gossiping on the job. Or, you know, talking to other employees about this girl and her issues at all. Creates a hostile work environment, don'tcha know.
Vent on here all you want. Just don't talk to coworkers about her. When they come up to you to bitch about her just tell them you don't want to talk about her and/or aren't allowed to talk about her.
Yeah, the less you say the better off you'll be.
If she gets wind of other people tanking her after talking to you, she'll make it sound as if you put them up to it and they'll try to give you corrective action also. This is a shit show in progress. Let her keep doing whatever she's doing and get herself canned. Just keep the crosshairs off yourself.
as a customer service rep (temporarily, I must remind myself of this!) I really hate politeness. it's just... so... stupid.
example:
me: "hello, thank you for calling [company]. this is [my name], how may I help?"
caller: "hi, how are you doing?"
let's dissect that little interaction. seems innocent enough, right? but what bugs me here is that I introduced myself and you did not. you think you're being "nice" by asking me how my day is going, but by immediately asking that question you've proven that you're not really paying attention to what I'm saying.
now let me be clear; this isn't a big deal. I'm not on some huge rant here. people are people, whatever. it's just... what you think is "nice" and what's actually nice are very different things, especially in business interactions. fuck your faux-politeness. listen to what I say and have a conversation with me. if I introduce myself, introduce yourself as well - that is what I would term truly "polite," if you want to use that term.
that's just one example... there are so many others. people who call in and immediately give me account info - I didn't ask for that, I'm probably not on the right screen to enter it. you think you're being helpful but you're not, because you're operating solely from your own perspective and not actually engaging in a true interaction. people who continually ignore what I'm saying and what I'm asking for but then end the call with "thanks, have a great day!" fuck your "have a great day" - I'll trade that bullshit for someone who actually engages in our interaction and makes it go faster and smoother, any day of the week. don't tell me you're nice, you're polite, whatever - show me. your words ain't mean nothing if your attitude and your actions don't convey attentiveness and consideration.
tldr; customer service interactions are forced bullshit and people are rude even as they think they're being "polite."
Where do you work Nynja?

^ This. The fact you seem to know everything she's telling people means you are just as bad at gossiping about the whole situation, too.
Stop giving a fuck about whether she's being a nut. Say, "I don't want to (can't) talk about it," and keep your mouth shut until they finally have a meeting. Your more likely to get her to win if you also become a headache regardless of who is "right."
