where did I say I received it? I'm in Calgary, not Mississauga, not to mention you clearly missed the point that this delivery company PURPOSEFULLY shipped my stuff from New Jersey to Germany, just to send it back to Canada.

As strange as it sounds, as DHL are a German company they re-route all packages through their main sorting facility in Frankfurt.

DHL is running bare minimum these days(Non-existent in some parts of the US) and likely gave that company a deal on shipping to get their business. Having the 1 sorting facility likely cuts down on payroll that they would then waste on jet fuel. It likely saves DHL money to do it this way so they can keep limping on. Did you choose the cheapest shipping option?

I call bullshit on this. Newegg uses DHL for some of it's supersaver free shipping and I NEVER had a package routed out to Germany and back to the states for processing.

That said, DHL is garbage at best and I avoid using them at all costs. I'll take 7-10 day UPS ground shipping over anything DHL offers.

All my newegg packages that ship via DHl always get dumped to the USPS lol

My company ships via DHL Freight including Less Than Truckload and Parcel Service all the time. We have never once had anything routed through Germany. Even items going to India were routed through Amsterdam, not Frankfurt. Anything shipped via DHL LTL has gone direct from local hub/sorting facility to customer without further delay. Customs is only a problem that causes delay if something doesn't add up on the BoL or the Declaration of Goods. Things like incorrect weight, declared value discrepancy, damaged or open boxes, etc. There is very little reason to need to add 5 days for customs. We add 3 days to ensure early delivery. It sounds like you got dicked around because someone fucked up the packaging or labeling of your package or loaded it on the wrong truck.

Just dropped $85 on a new serpentine belt on my car so I wouldn't get stranded if it broke. Two weeks later, timing belt goes out, stranding me on a bridge. $85 towing, and waiting outside my auto shop for them to open. Hoping it's just the timing belt......

Yeah, its called shitty customer service, between my shit being sent to the middle of europe, and the company telling me "o thats normal".

I'm not a mechanic, but I'm pretty sure this depends entirely on the model of the car. Some engines free wheel, others can bend the pistons, etc.

Call the company you purchased the shirts from and cancel the order. Tell them you are cancelling because of routing problems and the need for timely delivery. Their routing story is bullshit. If they give you trouble about cancelling the order, open a dispute with Visa. It will get solved quickly because companies don't like having open disputes. Or, you can wait a few more days for delivery and chalk it up to lessons learned about shitty CSRs lying to get you off the phone.
