I removed my crazy co-worker last week, and i noticed today that shed on my "added me" list. So im wondering if she tried to re-add me

With the wedding talk before and all that about gifts: My friends getting married next month, but I cant make it (I just went to Montreal for 2 weeks, I dont have the funds to fly to NJ and get a hotel for 3 nights). I should still be a bro and get something off the registry, right?

Speaking of weddings, last weekend I went to this wedding and for w/e reason I had to say a few words. I had to be on stage around 8pm; ten/fifteen min. before my turn I get this massive stomachache. I can't just take a dump and call it a day like a normal human being, I have to take my shirt off. So I make a mad dash for the bathroom and proceed to remove the tie, shirt, and undershirt. Anyway, by the 8 min. mark I was on stage clean af.

So gf finally gets plane tickets and despite me telling her several times SFO was closer and finding better deals there she is coming in from Sacramento. For some odd reason she thought it was closer when even a cursory glance at a map would show even straight line distance it isn't and north bay area doesn't have exactly have a ton of good roads going west so best routes have you going half way to San Fran to begin with... so while it's ~ 60 miles to SFO it's more like 110 miles for the fastest (though not shortest) route to Sac.

She claims she came to that conclusion based on gps and the fact it took her 4 hours to drive the 60 miles up from SFO last time which is kind of mind boggling considering I've never ever taken much more than 60 minutes by car 90 by shuttle. Even more so since except right after work on weekdays most the traffic is southbound not northbound. I mean shit I could bike there in less than 4 hours lol.

Needless to say there goes my plan to hop a shuttle and surprise her there. Probably...

Also this flight ends up being decently less time here than the ones I found for her. Like gets here about 18 hours later and leaves around 8 earlier

In other idiot related news guy comes in before we open. Door locked so he goes to leave. I go out to see who is there and he jumps out of his car without putting on the parking brake and starts asking if we are open. I point to his car and like uh your car and he just keeps talking about the work he needs to get done. Took 2 more attempts to tell him about his car before he thought it was worth a look as his car is rolling away lol

My wife does this. Manual car and she grew up driving a manual car, but she still fails to put the parking break on at least 30% of the time. Almost got my foot rolled over when I was pumping gas last Saturday.

so I invited some people to go tubing this weekend, a couple and another friend of mine. their responses were somewhat middling, whatever. yesterday I looked up the weather and it looks gorgeous; I text the couple as well as the other friend and ask "hey, what are you guys thinking? weather's looking great. do you want to go? I'd have to arrange transportation, so let me know. this is assuming the weather holds up of course, lol"


no response from any of them.


I felt like I was overreacting by being upset over this, but I slept on it and it turns out I'm still pissed. so IDK. just feeling really hurt and ignored right now. I didn't have a lot of friends as a kid so even now as an adult, I find it difficult to reach out to people - and when I get a response (or lack thereof) like this, it just makes me want to give up on people altogether.


I just wish people who call themselves your friends would have the fucking decency to respond to a simple invite to go do something fun. I have two friends in the world I can 100% count on no matter what; if they're busy or otherwise not interested they will let me know. the rest are all waffly bullshit fairweather assholes who may or may not reply on a given day and I'm getting sick of it. I'm gonna have to say something, IDK what. nothing rude or confrontational; that would only make things worse. but I'm also not going to just pretend it's ok. it's definitely not.


I mean fuck. we're all adults here. let's have some respect for each other when it comes to communication :/

lol, one just texted me back AS I WAS TYPING that to say yeah, she'd love to go. this is why I don't launch on people even though I want to; I know I'm a little crazy, and I don't want to be the type of crazy who foists that shit on other people. glad I handled it calmly and appropriately. sometimes that is surprisingly difficult.
