I tried that with a credit card, but no go. Gotten taken to court, judge ruled to have my wages garnished. I'm not denying I owed them money, so whatever. Court decision was like 8 years ago or so, and only once was my check large enough to have anything taken from it. Law firm/collection agency keeps sending me letters wanting to come to some sort of agreement and set up a payment plan with them. I feel no obligation to get in touch with them since there was already a ruling on my situation.
So this week, for the second time, my check was high enough to get garnished. This is because I actually hit overtime for a week (gotta keep me under 30 for the ACA normally) plus got $100 bonus for being the manager on duty for a secret shopper. That $2.51 they getting from me is totally going to make a dent in the 7K I owed them at the time, not counting whatever other fees they keep adding to the amount.
