Sylvester Stallone was in my restaurant tonight but I wasn't the server.![]()
How do you decide on who gets to serve? First come, first serve?
On another note, I was trying to squeeze the air out of my bag of cornflakes just now, after locking the top with a clip. Usually, there are enough ways for the air to pass through, but it seems I did exceptionally well sealing it air-tight - the bottom gave in first.
So last I posted, I needed a new timing belt for my car. Turns out I needed the whole kit with the belt. $85 to tow it to the shop. $385 for the kit.
Belt installed, and the car decides it doesn't want to start the next day. Take the battery to my local AutoZone, they say it's crap. Only had it for two years, but it was under warranty. Replace battery, low battery light is on. Turns out my alternator decided to go bad too. Just had a new one installed last year.
Get it auto shop, they confirm it's the alternator, and my warranty had expired about 13 days prior. They knew I just spent about $600 in repairs, so they cut me a deal. $228 later and I drove off with a new alternator, and I hope and pray I don't have to take it back to the shop anytime soon..... My account can't take anymore abuse ):
Sold an old video card on Ebay, two minutes after the auction ended, at 2am, buyer sends me a message saying he would like me to ship as soon as possible and if I could speed the shipping up. I sold it as free shipping, USPS priority, 1-2 day handling time. Sends me another message six hours later saying I need to ship it overnight to him and I need to mail it right away. I have the thing all packed and ready to go in the box I said I would mail it in, a huge part of me wanted to wait until at least Monday to mail it, but since buyers have all the power on Ebay, I don't want a negative feedback so I put in in this morning. 4 feedback score douchebag didn't even offer to pay for extra shipping, just expected me to.
I would have told him that if he wanted it overnighted he would need to pay for the shipping upgrade. That's a perfectly reasonable request if he needs to get it that quickly.
I'm pretty sure its just a language/culture barrier but it really rubbed my the wrong way, so it is highly possible I am being a dick about it, but wtf would you need a 4 year old video card for that quickly, besides being a dick on Ebay?
I've never, ever, met an intelligent/reasonable eBay user, buyer or seller. It's worst when they receive the money. They stop responding to you, somewhat.
If he would have asked me during the sale, if he won could I overnight ship for an extra charge, no problem, but after he has paid, tells me to speed it up, then tells me to ship it overnight... come on. I shipped it just like I said I would yesterday, if he is my first negative feedback on Ebay I will be pissed. First world problem indeed.
Well it works both ways, assuming you haven't given feedback already.
Then wait for him to go berserk. Negative feedback on eBay is serious business. hahaha
on flight to Baltimore, on southwest, buy wifi, espn app blocked, can't watch the open...
A cat followed me home from the mailbox at my complex last night and I felt really bad that I couldn't let him/her in, step outside this morning and the cat is still waiting outside my apartment.
I still feel terrible, but I really can barely afford to feed myself, let alone an animal.![]()
How is this first world problems in any way, shape or form?
Third world ghetto shit.
I have access to a 10 dollars off any purchase at Gamestop thing from rewards program and I don't know what to buy D: But today is my day off so I want something new because I'm a spoiled fuck.
Farcry 3 is on sale for 20, ten bucks for that sounds pretty sweet. Always meant to pick up that Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge though too. What to buyyy...
Had a fairly annoying experience there recently, myself. Order something, it comes, doesn't work. Send it back for a refund, but also have to pay nearly $20 for shipping. About a week later they refund the item, I send a message, "What about shipping?" "lolnope!" Try to message ebay from there, but since they already refunded the original item it no longer qualifies for buyer protection (thus return shipping fees), I'm SOL and down money for nothing. Negative feedback later, get a message asking to overturn it. My turn to "lolnope" their ass because they refused to work with me or ebay about the shipping. Not that I doubt it'll do much good since they seem like one of those power sellers that just tries to inundate feedback with overwhelming numbers to and make the dissatisfied people look like little pissants.
