Random Fail: First World Problems

Honestly don't think there is anything I absolutely need from it. Pretty much any of the work stuff is shared on the server. In better news tried doing a system restore from safe mode and now it just gets stuck in a black screen after I log in. Maybe now the boss will finally take we need a new comp seriously

Our network needs to be burned to the ground. Can't wait for the upgrade on the 7th. 20 minutes to edit, save and print 2 22kb word documents on our network and to print two quotes from my e-mail. Took me almost 30minutes to copy a 400mb installer from my network drive to another computers desktop. Fucking ridiculous.

In the past week I've seen 3 people argue that being fat is based solely on what you eat not how much and that it's impossible to eat healthy cheap therefore if you are poor you don't have a choice but be fat <.<. Also apparently tons of high sugar fruits and lol honey roasted peanuts are what passes for "healthy" foods with these idiots.

Ok folks, non-serious life decision time. No-family post as it has a little tmi stuff. Kinda long, pm me your thoughts if you don't want to comment.

I have the following options:

1) Stay at home rent free at my parents until the end of the year, but have to buy a car. Work is at the Avenue's, and parent's house tail end of Orange Park. 40 minutes without traffic delays each way.  Around 6k (or less), have car payments. High sexual frustration stress. Low financial stress level.

Within the next couple weeks to month:

2) Roomate on the southside area. $600-700 in rent, car buying not necessary. Decent sex life, so probably medium-low sexual frustration stress. Medium financial stress level.

3) Rent on the southside alone $900ish in rent. Car buying not necessary. Low sexual frustration sex, but high financial stress level.

4) Attempt to buy a $80,000 condo on the southside area. Car buying not necessary. Same low sexual frustration, but medium-high financial stress level. Plus whatever jesus-fuck-home-buying anxiety there is.

So yea. Any help, advice, or past experiences that may help, please let me know.

How's your credit? Staying at your parents and buying a car is instant equity and a boon to your credit. There's a lot to be said for not living paycheck to paycheck. Just fuck dude's at their place.

Credit karma has me fluctuating between 720-750.

I imagine actual is 650+.

No debt except $280 on a dental card that I can pay off now. (Just did.)

4.5k in savings and less than $500 in checking atm.

I can't do that for a variety of reasons. After the house fire last year, they're not going to tolerate a lot of visitors.

Option 1 is only bad because driving distance and the no fuckability. Also, going to the guys place is distance. >.>

Why till the end of the year on staying with parents? Like you only going to be around there temporary or have another place lined up after parents great place to stay. Also like while you don't have to get a car how easy would it be to go without could be rather important since you might find yourself getting one anyways

Anyways I'd advocate for trying to not stay with parents but it's nice place to stay until you can find some cheaper rent though in this case with the car thing that might not play out as well.

Anyways assuming you can afford I'd suggest living outside the parents and I'd assume if are seriously considering the $900 then you can definitely do the roommate thing.

Anyways when I do this I like to compare things one at a time. Like figure in net savings rent free after the extra car related expensives and figure out if that's worth it to you. Though instead of total amounts spent it is generally better to try to compare how much spending cash you'd expect to have each month after bills and daily expenditures like transportation or food.

Seeing as you are considering the $900 I'd assume that means you could afford it so that means the roommate thing you'd have at least $300 a month leftover which personally by itself would be enough to strongly consider it. Main things that would turn me off is if the roommate is incredibly shitty like eats your food, or doesn't pay their part of the bills or walks in while you fucking otherwise should be mostly fine and shouldn't really cause sexual frustration too much as long as they respect your bedroom. Remembering that commute is a huge time sink and don't know your parents but generally you living rent free isn't completely free and involves other time sinks even if only spent with them. So how much is a few hours a day of your time worth?

Then gotta figure out how much not having to deal with one is worth. Personally if it's in the dark yeah I'd definitely do the solo thing if it's that close and can afford it. They a friend you know and trust? Hell yeah pocket that monies.

They've offered to let me stay. I think they mostly just want to have me around. After the new year I'd have a bigger savings and more options. And a car.

Option with roomate is last for me really, even though it's a financial middle ground. I can live my parents but I'm really not wanting to live with a roommate.

The 900 solo living I am not sure if I can afford on the solo job. I might be spending some savings paying rent and have to pick up a second job which will basically just make my life more stressful.

Sounds like it's life with the rents then. I definitely wouldn't do something you couldn't afford month to month. And yeah while you waiting who knows what will pop up. Hell even the same place will often fluctuate a bit. I almost ended up moving into a place I'd probably barely make rent on but shortly thereafter found a place like $400 cheaper. Granted it's much shittier but better located anyways

They canceled school today because of Hermine and it's not even raining at all this morning. The storm is expected to make landfall today as a Cat 1 hurricane but I just found this really amusing. The weather was much worse yesterday and like 35% of my students weren't even there, but today there hasn't even been a drop of rain.

I guess I shouldn't complain because hey, a day off (with pay) is a day off, but we're gonna have to make this day up some other time and the actual weather conditions didn't warrant it at all.

Do you have to make it up at some time? Up north we have a slightly longer school year by default because of the expectation of random cancellations (usually snow). That seems like something school systems in Florida would do considering they get hurricanes/tropical storms every year or so.

It's not bad at all. The home is completely remodeled since the fire last year. It's really. Fucking. Nice.

The problem is it is on the opposite side of town from work/social events. And I won't be able to have visitors much, if at all. I'm not seeking attention when I say I crave sex all the goddamned lately. Libido is very high and after a year+ of having sexual frustration become more problematic, I weigh the ability to have sex in a place heavily into these decisions. (It also bothers me that most people don't have the same level of cleanliness habits that I do.)

But $$$ and a car is a good trade off. I really would need a car in Fl. It rains so much here and can come and go so quickly that it can't be prepared for with only a motorcycle.

There's a couple of options for renting that I'm still keeping open for a few days but if those fall through I'm just getting a car and staying here.

Went to move money to pay rent and car payment. Accidentally did checking to savings instead of savings to checking. No overdraft fee but I have an overdraft advance of almost 2400 I have to call Wells Fargo over.
