My second to last day of vacation and I did a day at Universal Orlando/Islands of Advdnture, and I was too fat to ride the Harry Potter shit. Feels bad man. Wasn't a total fail because my park tickets were comped by my job and the folks at Universal gave me some free "skip the peasants in line" passes to make up for me being fat, I guess. At least the Butterbeer was good.

I'm in the process of losing weight and it's one of the main reasons I haven't ventured to that ride /park even in Hollywood yet. It sucks but also why I love Disney because I never had to worry about that. In some cases though people aren't even too big , it's that they are too tall or broad in some areas which sucks too, specifically heard stories about Harry Potter. Regardless it's never a good feeling so I can definitely sympathize.

Yeah I've never has any problems with stuff at Disney, even their thrill rides. Even the rollercoasters at Universal weren't a problem for me either. Just the Harry Potter area.

Butterbeer is amazing though. I mean it sucks because the Harry Potter rides are really great but not a complete fail.

My fail today is that we had open house, I have about 130 kids and only 13 parents showed up. The parents I did meet were lovely, but that was just really unfortunate.

Yeah I've heard they are built ridiculously small as in my "normal" size friends had issues which really made me go WTF. I'm glad you made the best of it though

Then the appraisal came in. Home we're buying is 312k. In my best guestimate it should be in theory like 325k. This is an area with a fuckton of townhomes that all look exactly the same. A ton have been sold recently for around $335k (lower price on this one is because the patio faces the main street.)

Quicken Loans' appraiser valued the home at $289. Keep in mind that we JUST pulled out of a townhome on the exact same street, same layout that was appraised by Quicken's people for $335k. The home we want has better upgrades than the old one, too.

When we look at the appraisal, they only compared it to 2 bedroom homes which float around $260k. I guess they just added about $30k to make up the difference of the bedroom. But you seriously cannot find a 3 bedroom home at this size for $289. Not even close.

So quicken had sent our loan to one of their specialists who handles these cases, and I can't stand him. I love our old team. They responded well and explained everything in detail and were easy to get a hold of. This guy takes forever to get back to you and never answers his phone.

The long and short of it is the guy said they cannot order another appraisal, only send the current appraiser with other homes to see if he would reconsider his report. AND he said it is very unlikely the person would reconsider. Basically, not going to get the loan.

The possible win in all this is my realtor is fucking amazing. As soon as this all went down she contacted a few lenders she knew and found one that is going to rush and get a loan ready and done in 8 days. I will take as many days off as needed if I need to just sit there and sign papers. Technically we have until September 30th for the official closing date. The owners wanted to try and do it sooner, but that's looking like it's not going to happen. But I'd rather it be the 30th than not at all.

tl:dr Loan company is probably not going to give us the loan based on a low appraisal. Realtor rocks and hopefully got us another lender to do a loan in 8 days.

Please pray, cross fingers, sacrifice a goat to cthulhu that this all ends up going through ok.

I'm the outcast child who left, who only has his little brother and sister to confirm his existence. Rest of my family acts like I'm a god damn unicorn.

Bah Costco changed what kind of greek yogurt they stock of the brand I like. Now it's full fat instead of free, in a smaller container and costs more. This is such a travesty that when I was looking at it to buy other people were standing around complaining about it too. Also didn't realize full fat till I got home. Rip high protein snacl

Yesterday, ITD and AT&T were supposed to upgrade our network circuit from 20gb to 50gb. Nothing happens, and today they e-mailed one of our managers to say oh, it will be done now on September 30th unless AT&T can get to it sooner. So I got another 21 days of listening to people bitch about how shitty our network is.
