I found out that it's been 3 months and 11 days since my alarm clock lost power and reset. Not normally a big deal, but clocks go forward an hour on March 10th. It thought it was the end of daylight savings time and the little fucker woke me up an hour early and now I'm tired as shit.

A non member calls in for service. The car he just bought has one of our batteries in it. He wants free battery service. Threatens to sue me for the money he didn't spend on the battery because I won't send out service. Warranty doesn't transfer to new owners. We don't provide service to non members. It's not even 8am and I'm already getting sued lol.

I usually get threatened once a week or so. It is what it is. I've only had one guy actually show up and try to escalate a problem into an actual physical altercation. He got arrested a few weeks later for threatening the president and trying to assault Ed Rendell. Dude died in jail.

I have sold new memberships to people that have called with our batteries in their new cars. You need sales training!

On the other side, we (I am back to working part-time for NW Road Service) get direct calls from AAA members for warranty service on batteries that were installed at a "AAA Approved" repair shop. I get on-site and it's a Wal-Mart battery... I am convinced that they call us directly because they know that the Call Center CSRs will deny them.

If it's just a tire center that is AAA accredited then no, you just don't get the % discount for being a member. Brill will know more about actual AAA fleet repair centers.

Agreed. Shit tier members are horrible to deal with. I have had 2 different instances where the members got belligerent and I simply drove away while a CC supervisor cancelled their membership for abusive behavior. I love the level of support that the drivers get from the dispatchers. Not having to deal with irate customers is a huge perk to this job.
