I have a rule. If I am going to a place that I have not been or am not familiar with (Worked for AAA, addresses were my life for 5 years.), you give me an address. I will not even attempt to navigate off of your dumbass "Turn right at the tree that looks funny" directions. Do you have any idea how many trees there are in Oregon? Give me the address, damnit!

Pretty sure I am going to walk into work today and there will be two other servers there for a party of 20 people. We only have one other reservation for the morning of 6 people. So that'll be 3 servers and a bartender, and I'm going to be LIVID. I'm not going to make any money with these stupid cunts over-scheduling.
Probably will quit. But not before it rains and I take video of the leaks happening inside the restaurant and the mold growing on the booths. Fuck this place.
Yup. Three fucking servers and a bartender. 1 banquet of 22ppl and 1 reservation of 6 people.
Fuck.

Fuck! Some fucker dug through my car in front of my home. Took a gift card with .75 on it. Didn't take the $85 bottle of my gf's Britney spear perfume, diablo 3 for PS4, my gf's old Samsung 3 phone that were sitting in the glove compartment.
My own fault, forgot to lock car. Glad he didn't break window. Now I need to be on the lookout for shady people. Ugh.

tfw you thought you were making lettuce wraps for lunch this week but it turns out they're cabbage wraps...
ugh. they're ok, but cabbage is just too thick. the texture is all off :/ now I need to find a recipe to use the rest of the cabbage... maybe some sort of cabbage stew or something, IDK
Crack slaw is my favorite cabbage recipe.
Basically brown ground beef seasoned with salt , pepper, soy sauce , siriacha to taste , cumin and a bit of oregano and rice vinegar. Add shredded cabbage and sauté until cabbage is tender. It's one of my favorite low carb meals.

that does sound really good. reminds me of the Asian lettuce tacos I used to eat with a friend of mine. I do believe I might try it this weekend :3 thanks for the suggestion
that slaw actually sounds like it would be really good in a taco, too.
I made it for our office potluck and there was none left to be found. It's a cheap , easy meal and can be stretched out a few days. You can also add green onions for some extra flavor too. I need to make some this weekend again.
Here's the basic recipe I use : http://www.tasteaholics.com/recipes/...ck-slaw-video/

Ugh. I get pulled aside by my supervisor telling me two other employees reported me following another employee, the snowflake in my group, around and tracking her work. I didn't put 2 and 2 together and said "I'm just doing work. I have no idea what you're talking about." Supervisor and I both shrug it off and go our merry ways.
Eventually figured out something and got back to my supervisor. She requested two days ago that I sign off on her work log, I made a comment after signing it off that she should make sure that she's completing a full quota. She was only up to 75% of capacity for the day. Also, since I do inventory, I see the work output of the whole group, and I see the pattern that she is skimping on the work. So I pretty much buried her for not performing to capacity.
So the hell with her (again); back to stonewalling the snowflake. I try and give you advice and you think I'm attacking you when in fact I'm helping you NOT get fired. She continues to play the victim card and gets triggered over everything including the room temperature. Hey idiot, wear more than a tank top and a sheer bra/top whatever the fuck it is. I don't even know how that is acceptable attire for our work environment. The entire group reminds you to wear layers and you want the entire world to bend to your needs.
We were going over the new Lexus vehicle options with one of our loaner cars and it was my turn to start the car with the keyfob in the event the battery is dead in the remote.
I kept putting it up to the push start and nothing was happening until I realized I forgot to press the fucking brake to start the car. I haven't been able to drive in 2 years so I seriously forgot and felt like a dumbass.

Oh with cabbage; I make a casserole with it when it's not cold I call unstuffed cabbage.
First off, find a good stuffed cabbage recipe. Instead of rolling the filling in leaves, chop up the whole head of cabbage, then blanch it. Make the stuffing and sauce as normal. Then layer in a baking pan: half the sauce, half the cabbage, the stuffing, the other half of the cabbage, then the rest of the sauce. Cover and bake like the recipe says.
It's always a hit around here.
Will do.been looking into other jobs and already applied for one just office administration but good pay and hours.
yeah, my gf's a server, and the sheer bullshit you guys go through, especially when management and/or hosts are stupid, is insane. so she's been lookin for other jobs.
One of my employees has said repeatedly they want closing shifts? Better schedule that person who hates closing for every closing shift this week! Oh eight groups of people just walked in? Better seat them all in the same section, because I'd have to walk an additional 20 feet to seat them in other sections, and we can't have that!
I feel this so hard. I was a hostess and server/expoditer so I've seen both front and back of house shit but nothing compares to the bullshit servers go through.
It's why I almost always tip 20% or more unless it's super shitty service even then they get 15% usually because half of it is out of their control anyway.

the worst part is, the problems aren't remotely difficult to solve. i was at a restaurant a few weeks back, the hosts had a little clipboard. a server would clean a table, prep it for a new group, then a host would come by, look it over, and make a check on the clipboard. Simple, easy, and you can bet those servers never got sat a full section all at once.
these idiots paid tens of thousands of dollars to be qualified as a manager and then can't figure shit like this out. Even worse: my gf's restaurant has actual software they're supposed to use for that purpose. They don't. Because the hosts are too lazy and the managers don't care.
It's so fucking true what you said EVERY.FUCKING.WORD.
I actually worked for a few awesome places but 99% is trash like described above.
