Use uBlock Origin, it's been vastly superior for awhile now and isn't offering to let ads thru if the company pays them.
So shortly after I made my post, and having to tinker with adblock...something got through, and now somethings completely fucked up on my main pc.
According to the event logs, the following happened shortly after:
2:11pm: .NET Runtime
Application: ISUSPM.exe
process terminated due to an unhandled exception
Application error
Faulting application name: ISUSPM.exe, version 17.0.2.3, timestampe: 0x57815ea4
Faulting module name: unknown, version: 0.0.0.0: timestamp: 0x0000000
Faulting application path: C:\Prog Files\Common\InstallShield\Update\ISUSPM.exe
The file is 376,488 bytes. Googling the file shows reported sizes of no more than 220KB, but that doesnt mean much.
Malware Bytes reported no problems on my PC. I'm trying a manual scan of this file, but its been scanning it for over 7 minutes now, thats a long scan for a 370kb file.
So whats wrong with my computer? It says its connected to the internet, but nothings connecting. I know the connection to the router is fine because I'm on the network and can communicate with my other computers. Chrome keeps saying "Proxy connection failed". IE says "Proxy connection failed", and when I go to the proxy settings, it says my LAN settings are managed by my system administrator. Uh, I am the system administrator.
So in 1 hour that I noticed chrome/adblock being fucked up, my pc got compromised. THANKS ADBLOCK.
edit: fixed it, still pissed that I lost 90 minutes fixing something I shouldnt have had to fix.
Edit 2: on top of my proxy settings being blocked (ill have to mess with the group policies when i get home and fix that), i noticed that i had specific DNS ips put in, which i did not set. Unfortunately i didnt write them down, i should have.
Edit 3: i just checked my emails and found this from one of my old hotmail accounts that i only really check on my phone:
Unusual sign-in activity
We detected something unusual about a recent sign-in to the Microsoft account Ny*****@hotmail.com. To help keep you safe, we required an extra security challenge.
Sign-in details:
Country/region: Canada
IP address: 96.*.*.*
Date: 9/17/2016 4:30 PM (EST)
The ip address belongs to my ISP, but im not sure right now if its specifically mine. That time is shortly after my computer got all fucked up too.
All this cuz adblock went dumb![]()
Moving back to FL has put my financial situation in a much worse position simply because really bad shit keeps happening. And I spent too much on leisure initially after coming out.
Ended up in an ambulance -> hospital today.
I'm fine. Nothing major that isn't fixable. But fuck man. Just fuck my life. Jacksonville always treated me like shit, maybe this is just more signs.
So are u dead or wut
FB status is here if anyone is actually curious: https://www.facebook.com/projectstor...41190662748845
tl;dr I died and post from the grave
You gotta fix ur diet fam. This is comin from a nigga that eats churro's every single day.
Jesus christ. Thanks for making me feel better.
Heh yea, I know. Eating more regularly is definitely something I've been battling with lately. Hopefully I can eat better and work out and make some headway soon. After my hand heals anyway.
@Zet I'm glad I made your day a little better!
Anyway. Shit sucks lately. Some really big mental downs that even knowing I'm back among family/friends isn't helping with. I made such headway with finances that I'm really scared about being set back and it's affecting me lately.
Also, I took video of the mold in the restaurant. I'll upload in a moment.
You were already assessed and treated by ems you were paying regardless of if you rode in the ambulance or not FYI. The only added charge after that is a per mile dollar amount after X amount of miles.

@boy. Not surprised, but I'm pretty sure that the ride itself is the majority of the bill.
Nah in most cases it's a flat rate once treatment is initiated which is included in transport costs. Here getting a treat and no transport by ALS will be the same $1500 as if you go to the hospital, there are just added costs along with transport which really are miniscule.
I'm having trouble conveying what I'm trying to say for some reason. Basically, if the transport is $1000 then in most cases if they treat (administer a line, fluids, any meds) and you refuse to go you still get the same bill.
For us basic treat/transport is $800, any ALS like an IV or meds is $1500, and any miles after 5 or is another 50-100 per mile. Can also charge for every little thing like O2, ice packs, splinting etc.
Heh, I get what you're saying. Basically, don't get sick or you're screwed no matter what.
As soon as my dad made the call, I was just like fuck. I'm fucked. I was out of it pretty bad, but aware enough to have that sink in.
Yeah in a sense, but some places like us however are municipality based and are paid for by tax dollars. So if you're a resident then whatever insurance pays is the end of it, there is no balance billing or collections. If you have no insurance same deal if resident, we don't go after you thanks to tax dollars. If you aren't a resident you're fucked royally hence why prices are so high, and for car accidents it's through car insurance even if the accident occurred up to 48 hours ago and it's car insurance only which we get full dollar amount for.
Also, this has nothing to do with you I'm just venting, but ambulances don't get you seen faster in the ER I hate that misconception.
Always rolling up to houses with cars in the driveway for someone with a fever cause they think they'll be seen faster, nope. Nothing more satisfying than putting someone in a wheelchair and taking them to the front waiting room with everyone else and they're like what am I doing here I came by ambulance.
My random fail is much more of a first world problem.
I was playing Pokemon Go in my apartment and I see the outline of what can only be a Pikachu (evasive little bugger, I still don't have one) and so I head outside looking for him and every direction I go he seemingly isn't there, and then I get back to my apartment and he's still on my radar but he isn't fucking spawning and then after about 20 minutes he disappears.
UUUUUUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH
When I heard my dad ask about the ambulance, it flashed through my mind "nah i'm good just lemme lay here" and maybe "just load me in the car" but I was actually kinda scared considering seizures and loss of bladder can be serious and I was in no shape to make a decision about my health. I let them handle it.
Also, sorry Aks![]()
That sucks, Airenn. Last thing in the world anyone should be concerned about is whether or not they can afford an ambulance.
My FWP fail is I took on Journalism this year (with another teacher who is a 1st year, so I am basically in charge). We are doing a paper a week. I haven't had a weekend yet where I wasn't spending a few hours working on getting this paper ready.
As much as I think this is great to have under my belt for experiences, I really hope next year I can pass this off to the other teacher. ;_;
Forgot to vent about the program: Since it was my first time, I picked this online software program that had a good price for unlimited epapers for us to print ourselves. Software is buggy and slow as shit. I have gray hairs popping out of my head right now as I can't delete a column I need to get rid of. Fuck this thing.
