As an aside, when I worked at the private school it was policy to respond to all emails within 48 hours. And I got way more then than I do now. I kept that as my own personal policy because I found it really wasn't all that time consuming, and was great for respect-building among students. It would have taken you less than three minutes to say, "Hi, I got your emails, but I will be unavailable to update grades until next week. If your have any questions, please see me on Monday. Yours, X" Keep in mind, kids are used to texting, not emailing. Show them the right way to do it.

Just my two cents.

I love this response for so many reasons. There's again a strong difference between just doing a job and doing it RIGHT. As choosing to be an educator you take upon a responsibility to not only yourself but those you teach , and just ignoring the problem without education and providing a basis of understanding for importance of said protocols and steps only perpetuates the cycle.

I really think some people choose the wrong fucking field to get into.

Woke up early this morning so I could get over to my leasing office to drop off the rent payment before work. Got there and the leasing office had moved across town without them notifying me. Mother fuckers. I still made it without being late for work but I had to skip stopping for breakfast. And before anyone asks, yes I do have the option of paying my rent online with a credit card or e-check but these assholes charge a $35 "processing fee" for electronic payments so fuck that.

I've never actually had a rent payment system that charged $20+ for BOTH option. The withdrawal from checking account is always like $2 max for me when CC is $20+

Yeah mine is free with checking and they recently added CC/debit option but it's like $25. Usually one is pretty cheap like that probably depends on costs to them. Like the reason my company doesn't take cards is because of the increased cost to us for such a small portion of our business

Credit card companies skim a little off the top of all transactions afaik, so thats probably why they dont want payment by CC.

So after months of fighting to find out what the fuck was wrong with our network. The source of the issue was a mislabeled patch panel that caused two cables to be plugged into the wrong switch, causing our data to go to the wrong circuit and flooding our network with data send requests due to dropped packets.........

I mean, in his defense, if he's going from win7 to win10, "where's the control panel?" is a legit question. I mean, it doesn't take long to find it, but it's not where it used to be.

Anyone type in "Control Panel" when you hit the Windows Key in both 7 and 10? I still do that shit because it's buried somewhere and it's easier to type in what you're looking for.
