Random Fail: First World Problems

Hopefully most people will take it seriously. Most of my friends on the coastline seem to be taking it seriously. I've seen mandatory evacuations listed for a lot of the Atlantic coastline from Melbourne up to Jacksonville. My city has been designated a hurricane refugee destination so if any BGer's need to flee, come see me in Tallahassee. I have beer and video games.

Well you can bring yourself to the east coast where there is rain everyday, sometimes all day and possible hurricanes, tornadoes, Galactus, minor earthquakes, hailstorms, windstorms, other stuff.

So fun when boss tries to do something in a way that is harder and more prone to mistakes and when a mistake happens I point out the easy way to do it he says this way works better. Apparently the response it obviously isn't since it isn't working at all right now is not the right response. I feel like I'm getting yelled out for telling someone to use the round peg to fill a round hole instead of the jumbo jet they are trying to fly thru it

I caught the fucking office plague two weeks after everyone got sick..FML. I'm currently in a twilight state at my desk contemplating if it would be easier to walk into traffic than feel this way. Ugh.

I tried the Gulf Coast and spent some time in Florida and North Carolina. You can keep that hot humidity and Volkswagen hail. I'll just move to the desert and complain about not having any water.

I got shot in the goddamn eye with an airsoft rifle at work today by an asshole customer. Luckily, it grazed off my glasses which absorbed a lot of the velocity and only hit my lower eyelid instead of directly into my eyeball. Still hard enough to leave a welt, but at least I'm not blind.

Stuck under curfew until 7am Saturday because of the Hurricane despite it not being remotely bad here. Just raining a lot and will likely be clearing up by this afternoon

A transformer near the school went out real early so we've been without power since noon (730 now) and will probably be without for a while.

We were hoping it wouldn't go til around 5pm cause it wasn't even bad earlier. :/

Ah well. A tree came down too but at least I'm alive, I guess.

The only "good" thing is that since it was a transformer at the school it'll be fixed way quicker than our small private road.

I made a stupid joke on FB about how I had Taco Bell for lunch so in a few hours I'd be issuing my own mandatory evacuation notice. One of my old roommates got all butt hurt saying it wasn't funny and people were in trouble etc

Yeah no shit I live in Florida with lots of friends and family being affected but a poop joke is never not funny jfc

Our power went out at 10am after the worst had already been and it had stopped raining. Power is still out now. No updates on the energy website but pretty understandable given the circumstances

Due to the amount affected I'd safely assume it could be easily 2 -5 days until power is restored , obviously far more on barrier islands and coastal. There's a reason they say stock up for a week on water/non perishables and fill your bathtub with water.

I'm just in shock at the devastation , I knew it would be bad but seeing areas I personally lived and visited is tough.

Follow-up, a different customer today got snuck up on, panicked, and butt stroked me right across the other eye. I'm considering calling out tomorrow because god knows what it will escalate to next.

Gave my husband the plague I caught and also managed to pull what feels like the rib muscle on my left side from violent sneezing. I've lost 6 pounds since Thursday due to not eating/ no appetite and now stuck taking Norco and Benadryl ( I have a kind allergic reaction to Norco) for the pain and now my face won't stop itching UGHH. I feel drunk without the fun.

So seems my local 5 guys has started getting cheap with the fries. Like normally they put a full cup of fries in next to the burger than cover everything with enough fries so you can't see the burger or the cup. And that's with a small. This time they just filled the cup barely so even though I ordered a regular this time because I wanted more I actually got less. I mean it's still a lot of fries but I wanted enough to keep up with the 5 patty cheeseburger I got

I've got hives/welts randomly on my arm and the back of my legs leading up to my ass cheeks.

No clue where the fuck this is coming from. Threw some goldbond w/ menthol power to relieve the itchiness. Hopefully shit's gone by the morning
