No kiiiiiiiiids wooooop!
No kiiiiiiiiids wooooop!
Eh, I can be around them. I love my niece to bits and pieces! I just don't want them. Or pets.
I hate kids.
So, like, I have never been ignorant about the way I look. It is what it is, and no amount of weight loss/gain or makeup or shit is really going to do much for my face. Got a hubby I love and beautiful kids etc. etc., so normally on a day to day basis I don't give a fuck or even think about my looks.
Some students got a hold of my phone today and were taking silly innocent pictures of themselves, and they snuck in some candid pictures of me. When I saw it, idk, I kinda wanted to burst into tears, which rarely happens. It definitely shouldn't bother me, and it's not like I never have pictures of myself taken, so idk why this time it bothered me. My only guess is just thinking about how I am just getting older now to add to the face, and how I have to be all, "Haha you got me," to the kids because I definitely don't want them thinking looks matter that much. I just hope this shitty feeling passes soon. It's a waste of my time and energy.
Last few pages could go into the random win thread for me. Been feeling kind of shitty that I seem the be the only person I know that doesn't want kids. All my buddies have 2+ kids and everyone's just kind of looking over my direction waiting for me to find someone to pop a few out with. Fuck that, I can't stand kids.
I will say not wanting kids makes dating even more of a royal bitch than it already is.
I think you need to chill for a moment and think about the universe and the people in it.
See, most people aren't hotties. Hot people get lots of press and post lots of photos because that's one of their assets and they're proud of it. So we see a lot about hot people, and it's easy to forget that plain people look good too. Most of us are thoroughly plain. We're not really actively unattractive, but maybe don't photograph well or are overweight or out of shape or whatever. These people still have an appealing facial structure, but for whatever reason don't meet all the criteria most people think of as "hot." I think my looks are plain and I'm really self-conscious about my teeth, but I get compliments relatively often (for a guy) because I carry myself well and have nice hair/beard. And you might think you don't have something like that, but most people do, and that sort of thing doesn't always translate well across photos.
Further, it is important to know how you stand in the universe. You are a mother, a wife, a daughter, a teacher, a friend, a gamer, etc. I would imagine those are some of the more important priorities in your self-identity, yes? None of those things requires great physical beauty. Oh, sure, we'd all like to change some things about ourselves, but would it impact how you went about being any of those things? "I'd be happier." is not a fully thought out answer. Because would you? I know lots of hotties. Many of them are downright unhappy. To use my teeth as an example, having them magically fixed would not make me happier. I would be spared the occasional moment of self-consciousness or regret, but overall it would have little impact on my happiness.
Because, much like money, beyond the "comfortable enough" level, looks stop giving happiness. And also rather like money, part of reaching that threshold is learning to be comfortable with what you have.
Universe doesn't care about fat people
I'm hot, the world loves me.
Stupid sexy Flanders.
Literally hot, the fucking AC in my office is still busted. Thankfully it's cooling off outside today.
Down to the 50s on Saturday I think? 30 degree swing in 3 days.
I'd have preferred the 60s on Saturday. Doing a festival in Brooklyn and I think it's supposed to rain too. Luckily it's an indoor thing. Goes between Music Hall of Williamsburg, Brooklyn Bowl, and The Hall. Just the walk between venues that may suck.
Yessir. You going too?
Was gonna drop in for Medeski but it looks like the GF wants to go apple picking.
Russo goes on at 7:$5 and Medeski at 1:45am. I bet you could make it if you wanted to.
