Random Fail: First World Problems

Also getting capped by Comcast, but family is still well under 1TB on our heavy months (like, 600 GB~).

Personal fail: Went to the grocery store for the week's shopping, got denied on both debit cards. Realized they had expired in September. So that was fun.

So I'm working (slowly) on my PhD. I was able to defer my small student loans from my first year of undergrad because I'm enrolled in enough credit hours this semester to be considered full time. This wasn't really necessary since I can easily afford my payments on them but I figured it would be helpful since my loans stop accumulating interest when I'm in school.

Fast forward to today when I find out that when my school's financial aid office got the notice that I had entered in-school deferment, some asshat didn't read the letter closely enough and put a total block on my student account for being "in default" on my student loans. Now I can't receive payments from my NSF Fellowship or anything else that goes through the school until my loan servicer sends a certified letter stating that I'm in good standing - which of course will take 1-2 business weeks.

Fuck. At least I can still get my teaching paycheck.

I think it only works for me because my sarcasm/contempt game is pretty strong while not quite saying anything to get me fired... though on some bad days when I didn't hold back some I did get told to tone it down lol. Generally they don't really want to continue with me especially since I wont budge on demands. Boss though he lets them rattle on and finagle and has to deal with that.

So thought I was coming into a fairly easy normal day in the office... nope. Turns out we have a huge job and one guy call out because his brother was all strung out on drugs or something so they actually wanted me to come in early... but no one told me so meh. Turns out a car dealership hasn't gotten rid of any of it's sales records since it opened in 1968. But boss is away so the people that actually make things work getting it done.

So 3 hours of hauling down boxes that weighted 30-100 lbs each (seriously who the fuck makes boxes that big for files) down stairs. Ends up being about 10-12k lbs total. And of course no handles so carrying them in arms instead of hands so forearm is all cut up and bruised like I'm some emo kid. Feet are trashed because while I seem to have cleared up my issues I had basically stopped wearing shoes hardly at all the last few months and they have definitely softened up and weren't ready for that.
