Had to be awake and alert for a polygraph this morning at 8. Slept for shit before and after and now it's time to get ready for work and i just want to sleep. Doing the test on its own is stressful enough, feel so much during and after just having to open up about your shit in life. I just want to lay in a corner right now

Had a fairly normal dream last night till near the end of it when these loud, and I mean LOUD sounds of construction work started coming from what I thought was the room above me. It sounded like lots of sawing. I kept remarking in my dream how loud it was and wondering what was going on. Shortly after, I woke up. It then occurs to me that I was likely hearing myself snoring in my dream. lol

November work schedule out and I'm partnered with a retard. One of those dudes who never gets anything right, is always late, and always seems to be missing pieces of his gear. I get hit up with a consolation email stating "Please try to bring him up to speed." I'm not a god damn baby-sitter.

Guy who has been on "medical leave" for the past 12 months is coming back to work. We already backfilled his position - twice - because he never gave his intentions of ever coming back until last month. We definitely do not have the space to cram in another Full Time Employee in the lab. The guy is also a waste of space and the biggest narcissistic asshole I have ever met. It's like he never grew up and is still in high school. Also is extremely racist and acts like his racism is meant to be a joke. Workplace has a zero tolerance to racism and discrimination.

And to add fuel to the fire, he is entitled for his original work space (lab bench, office desk, and exact same computer he used,) so the employee that is going to be displaced is obviously not pleased. We also informed all the women in our group to wear the largest rings possible... though he will still hit on them. *sighs* Thank goodness I'm in early enough that I would only interact with this person for at most 3 hours of my day.

At my work, the lack of supervision kills us because we have no team leads among the technicians. We're not allowed to tell each other what to do for the sake of keeping the group functioning. So I'm told repeatedly to let things fall apart so the supervisor feels useful when in fact his indecision and lack of organization is a crutch on us all.
