If you want a really simple set-up, you can just buy a $15 blade grinder and be amazed at how much better the stuff you just get out of your regular machine is. Make sure to grind it immediately before making it though. Ground coffee gets stale after an hour.

This. And yes Day, it's one of the one shot deals. Expensive as fuck to boot. And the pre-packaged coffee they sell is expensive as well. Plus it would eliminate the need for me to buy coffee beans. Which will NEVER fucking happen.

Yeah.
I've seen pictures of the cups with just this hollow space where the water runs through the cup. Literally comes out with so much force that it pushes the coffee out of the way and barely extracts what it's supposed to be extracting. Not to mention, the brew time is much too short.

Honestly, while I may appreciate/make great coffee, I greatly appreciate caffeine too.

Yup. Sometimes you just don't have the time. I have a Black and Dekker coffee maker that brews up a pot in about 4 minutes. Thing is a lifesaver in the mornings.
