Patch 1.21a Notes (03/26/2012)

Was parsing 2000ish on Ifrit before as PLD. Just did 2500 in Spirits Within alone. I'm tied with the BRD atm with 5.5kish. Doing some nice damage spamming Spirits, Goring and Riot. Pop Divine Veil + Outmaneuver at the same time for that TP bonus.

Curious, what were the other DDs doing?

From top to bottom: BLM, THM, BRD, PLD, BLM, DRG. With better DDs or more experienced ones I would be lower on the list but this is still a significant boost in damage for PLD. Practically double my previous parses.

With good DDs or mediocre ones? I think I have a few parsers of the latter I can PM you if you're curious.

Hard to compare since group damage/DPS can vary so much depending on whether your DDs can play or not, but from your parser PLD still seems behind.

I'm certain that PLD is still behind when it comes to damage... I don't think they should be tied with WAR - just not that far behind.

To be fair, a BLM in an Ifrit fight can be screwed for damage if they're unlucky enough to have Eruptions come their way a bazillion times and forced to run away. It's certainly happened to me before.

A tank (PLD) on the other hand has the advantage of being able to damage Ifrit 100% of the time it's engaged.

A BLM that is not really good will. I will never get out Parsed by a Tank on Ifrit. Even if I die afew times.

Even with running from eruptions there is no reason for their damage to be that low, at all.

But this is derailing us from the point of his post, I shouldn't have made a comment about it.

Holy. Shit. I think they actually did fix the recast timer bug.

I've been logged in for almost a day and mine are still accurate. I can actually use an ability when my action bar says I can. CRAZY.

It is indeed fixed, but sometimes my cast bar is still zooming by.
