I didn't think he really got into his SuperSheamus mode until after he won the rumble last year to be honest. I got a little annoyed at him later in the year, but at the time of the Rumble I was fully supporting him.

As for Punk losing to the elbow, it was the second elbow of the night. Punk had already eaten a botched Rock bottom on the table and then another at ringside. I just attribute him losing to the elbow because at that point fatigue is setting in and both men had beaten the crap out of each other. Not like the Rock has never ended things with his elbow before, even if I personally think the Rock Bottom is a way better finisher.

The one plus about Rock and Cena again is at least WWE is doing long-term booking. Remember how great those used to be when they only had 4 ppvs?

About Sheamus, I can't recall when it started either. It just seems like it's went on for a long long time. Rock did look winded. Maybe it was an on the fly type thing to just end it fast and the elbow was enough.

Yeah I think 4-6 PPv/year is good as well. Remember when you'd actually get pumped for Survivor Series?! /nostalgia.

Does anyone know why Samoa Joe never entered WWE? Those matches between him and Punk during indy circuit and RoH looked amazing. If I could (assuming WWE would get character's and booking correct) I'd bring over Joe, Kazarian and Daniels, and Bobby Roode. As of late, Hardy and James Storm have kinda been the Cena and Sheamus of Impact.

Cutting back on ppvs isn't necessarily a bad thing. They should also cut back on some of their tv. The product is way more oversaturated now, even before they added Main Event.

You can't tell them to expand their roster while cutting their number of programs. These people gotta show up somewhere.

    "SHUTUP YOU STOOGE"

For what Sheamus and Cena do outside the ring (Make a Wish) I give them a ton of credit, but inside the ring I can't stand the Super- moves.

I just do not like Super-Rock, I kind of liked him a teenager but was a more of a Stone Cold Man.

Picked up WWE'13, Cena vs. Brock....Let's go Cena - Cena Sucks chants...GOAT.

If they did bring back King of the Ring, I'd like to see it return to the classic style, where the whole tournament was in the pay per view. At the very least maybe have some preliminary stuff and then like the final 8-man bracket on the show. I would agree with less pay per views a year, especially dropping some of the gimmick ones. I actually like the Chamber style, and would agree with keeping that, and dropping Hell in a Cell and TLC.

Friend and I, as well as my 9 year old daughter, all had predictions down on paper. #30, winner, fastest out, etc. I had Jericho down as the entrant starting it off with Ziggles, blew my mind as well since it really was only super wishful thinking and I never saw it actually happening. Love that guy.

All in all though, it was an ok Rumble although the tail end really got boring as soon as it was clear that what you knew was going to happen was actually going to happen.

Having just watched the 2003, 2004, 2005, and 2006 Rumbles, it was nowhere near as good as those of course. Eddie, Benoit, Batista, Lesnar... just much better moments in nearly every one of those. That 2004 finish, so great. The 2006 opener with Rey driving down as a tribute to Eddie. Yeah, miss those Rumbles.

Jericho and Goldust were great, had us actually stand up and say "HOLY SHIT!"
I hated that it became obvious that Ryberg was going to be 30. Should have switched out Robot- I mean, Khali and could have had 30 be a surprise.
Was hoping for a longer Hell No duration, but their little "spot" was pretty entertaining. I was telling my buddies to count on Kane/Bryan to clear the ring.
I'll admit I was pulling for Ziggler or Jericho. Ziggler winning after entering at No.1 and having the possibility to unify the titles? That'd be a hell of a rub.

General WWE Discussion (Brock lesnar new generation he impress me always)

Isn't this what drove WCW into the ground? Refusing to put anyone else on the top and shunning any new talent. I can't stand Cena or Sheamus, and Ryback is fucking horrible. Dude can't wrestle for shit. I love the Rock back in the day too but him winning the championship just comes off as pandering with Vince licking his balls.

I'm mostly okay with Rock beating Punk since it was clearly gonna happen, but... People's Elbow? Really? Come on, use the Rock Bottom at least.

I love WWE 13. The creative community is strong and the servers are better. I got a fantastic WCW Friday Nitro ring, Thunder, and some WCW PPVs to add to my universe. I set it up so that each company has two shows a week: Monday is Raw, Tuesday is Smackdown, Thursday is Thunder, Friday is Nitro, and Saturday is a cruiserweight exclusive Superstars. I set Smackdown to have the custom WWE TV Title as the minor and the IC title as the main. Then RAW has IC as the minor and WWE Championship as the main. On WCW it's WCW European Title, then US, then World. I might go for a unification scenario and make the World Title as the #1 on RAW and Nitro and bump each title down (eliminating the TV/European). Both companies share divas.

In a sense, but with WCW you also had the top talent (Nash, Hogan, ETC) also booking the shows. You never have ongoing talent book the show. There was a multitude of other reasons but yea, the aging talent just couldn't let the young people have their chance at the spot light. I actually just finished watching Rise and Fall of WCW and while yea it's a WWE made documentary, it was actually pretty good.

Read this for all you need to know about the Death of WCW. It's a wildly fun read.

I am having a real hard time with the fact that a part-timer killed a 434 day title reign, instead of someone who actually deserves it from the aggregate of good talent that is on the current roster. The fact that Rock used the People's Elbow to win after being destroyed 5 minutes earlier by Shield AND pinned by Punk was just another slap in the face to the fans.
I loved Rock back in the day, but ever since he came back to feud with Cena he's become even more annoying than Cena or Sheamus themselves...not to mention that we're going for a "Once in a lifetime.....part 2" in 2 months, and we'll barely get to see the WWE Champion on WWE TV until then.

^ I'm sorry, but you, and I, and everyone else on here are Smarks. We are not the target of all of this: the kids and the young fans who love both Cena and The Rock are the targets. Last year's Cena/Rock was the biggest single match in WWE history in terms of profits, they've revealed. We knew this rematch would happen because its a business, and despite us crying about it (legitimately so, when you account for the actual storyline and wanting up-and-coming talent like Ziggler to finally get his day), this match is good for business.

Its a bitter pill to swallow, and I hate the taste of it too, but when I remember that this is about making money first and entertaining Smarks about 5th, I can at least understand all of it. Ziggy is a hard-working beast of a man, but he would not sell as much as Cena vs. Rock, and that, unfortunately, is that.

Pretty much. Makes me wish I could go back to being a kid when I could thoroughly enjoy most of the matches without being cynical. But we're far beyond that time now.

The WWE insiders consider us smarks only a half-step above marks, because we "think" we know what's good for the show and business, when, in their minds, we have no idea what we're talking about. Its a weird thing, but it is what it is in this line of entertainment.

I'm so angry at the dirt sheets for getting my hopes up about Carlito and Shelton Benjamin still, damn.
