Well he probably thought he was being lazy at the time but in hindsight we know now that Lesnar was already training for UFC 200 and likely didn't want to do anything to jeopardize it.

Overall I don't think this was a good interview; Austin was trying to get stuff out of Ambrose and he often stammered his way through or talked about something completely different. Ambrose clearly didn't want to talk about some of the seedier things in his past. Dean also seemed legit miffed when Austin suggested at the end that Ambrose had gotten complacent.
