Hojo was given the word that she has to come up with a new finisher. A lot of people questioned that. Hojo has the coolest looking elbow off the top rope in pro wrestling, probably the best since a young ICW-era Randy Savage. She was told that’s Bayley’s move. To those in Japan, it’s considered ridiculous because that’s the move she’s known for, but it’s a different world. Hojo would walk right into WWE as technically the best of their women wrestlers, but she’s also maybe 5-foot-1, and a lot smaller than Asuka.

Just got finished watching it since I couldn't watch it live. Great match from start to finish. The crowd was loving it the entire time.

Insane they are taking that away from Hojo for Bayley.

They can always change their mind between now and whenever the tournament ends up taking place. I think it would be foolish to take away her killer finisher for Bayley's random elbow drop because she suddenly loves Macho Man that much.

Ciampa hurt his leg bad in a house show against Sanity. No clue yet how it's going to affect the tag title match at takeover.

Seems it was just a sprain and he's good to go. That's a relief, since that's the one match on the card that I'm really into.

B Block matches are up for BOTSJ on njpwworld (just the 4 matches, and it's single cam, no commentary). Overall, I'd say this is a skippable outing. Nothing terrible, just not much to get too hyped about unless you really like one or both people in a specific match.

Desperado/Taguchi at 4, Kushida/Bushi at 0, the rest at 2 points. Can we please flip the scoring? Kushida will get back into this by the end of next week. If you ask me, the "Fallen Ace" redemption arc can happen in the fall, or at WK. This is booking not too dissimilar to what they have done with people like Tana in G1. 2 early losses, but when they're 2/3 the way through the tournament, he controls his own destiny. Bushi on the other hand isn't going to win 4 of 5. He and Kushida are the main event their next show (back at Korakuen, so live show w/ commentary), and I could see Kushida dropping to 0-3 just to ensure that it could look like a clusterfuck finish like last year's block. Also, Kushida is one of the best on the roster at taking the mist. I need it.

Realistically, who do I think is raising the trophy? Taguchi/Liger. Or Dragon Lee or Ricochet. Or Kushida. Or they'll surprise me. One of the problems with the 6-man titles is that when a smaller group is holding them/challenging for them, that means you don't have much flexibility elsewhere. If their title defense is on a Road to Dominion show, rather than the show proper, then it would seem rather unorthodox to have something like Naito/Hiromu vs. Tana/Ospreay. CHAOS could work. BC or SZKG teaming with Tana? Nah.

Also, I was hoping that Bushi would beat the shit out of Desperado after Super J Cup last year, but instead they made it even worse with this. Heel!

Anyone not catching this live needs to go back for the UK title match. If Meltzer doesn't give it 5 stars I will never trust his match ratings again.

Completely forgot Takeover was tonight. Went back and watched it, was a great show. UK match stole the show. And FINALLY Ciampa turns on Gargano. All around, thumbs up.
