No more English commentary until the final 3 days. Even if you can't speak Japanese the commentary is still entertaining just from how hype they get.

Also, am I crazy for thinking Juice is gonna pull one out against Okada? Definitely feels like Juice has a big upset coming his way with how his story has been progressing + how Okada was treating him.

Juice is probably the guy I'm rooting for the most at the moment. I realize he most likely has no chance of winning the G1 right now, but god damn if he isn't the kind of guy you just want to see succeed.

I can see Juice getting the upset. He's super hot right now with a ton of crowd support. It could be the classic story of the Champ looking over the person lower on the totem pole. Has Juice ever done ROH work? He'd be one that I'd love to see get the TV Title as a beginning title before getting anything from NJPW.

This is the part of the G1 that usually kind of drags for me. Fewer marquee matches than the first 2-3 nights and final 2-3 nights in each block, plus a lot of trying to conserve energy before a big push at the end. Still, the main event was great and I really liked ZSJ/Goto. The rest was ok, but felt like mid-tournament filler matches mostly.

If you have njpwworld, his other post-match interviews are also great. If you go to the schedule, clicking on a show will have the interviews links there. Okada is going to get booed out of the building when he acts like a cocky shithead going against this nobody on one good leg and I can't fucking wait.

I was a bit joking when I said a page or two back that Juice would get the upset, but it wouldn't really surprise me either way. I think Okada is going to have 12 or 14 points and not advance, and if his losses are Suzuki/Omega, then what? Those guys have titles to defend and I don't see someone losing their title and challenging him right after. Of course, EVERYTHING could be EVIL and he could get 2 wins over the big 3 in this block?

Juice did well. Okada got pissed off and was a shithead. Okada is sorry he's so good/strong. Kenny with the burn to Kojima before their match. Poor guy had to go through Okada being a dick to him the other day, now Kenny? Ugh, the link I had is down, but Kenny was basically saying "yes, these are my house show pants, and why? This is a house show. Easy two points. Light work" or something like that.

I know Kojima did a lot for NJPW, and I know I may catch some heat for this, but those corner chops are awful.

Before he even said anything I caught that. He's only worn those pants for Kojima and Tama so far in this G1. Even Yano got the big boy pants.

Kenny actually has some mix and match sets I think when you add in the kneepads and boots. However, there are some distinctions:

Yano/Elgin - same black tights
Kojima - old school house show
Tama - new school house show? They were the mostly black, but the pink and white fringe
Suzuki - black, with a belt. That's his real deal gear.

So Yano is more respected than his stablemate. Or maybe it was just laundry day.
